Billing for "damages" with arbitrary amount, no itemized description. Additionally, the notice mentioned they automatically submit to a collections agency and once payment is received the collection will be canceled. No due date was ever provided nor a payment method provided. The bill was sent to my roommate, without his name on it, mine included. I have not received a copy. Additionally, they have electronic means to supply this document but they utilize other methods.
The two former residents were both named on the itemized move out charges. They only provided one forwarding address. All charges are justified as there was the final water and sewer billing and significant carpet damages of which pictures were taken. If the complainants would like, they are welcome to contact the Briarcliff City Apartments leasing office to discuss payment arrangements.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
- There is no denial some damage was done and fees due. However, I was informed by office staff there would be the possibility of stretching the carpet thereby not requiring replacement.
- There was no itemized bill and the fees assessed are outrageous and could cover the recapturing of the entire apartment when one room, door jams only, had damage
- There were no pictures offered for viewing
- I contacted the business prior to filing the complaint and have yet to receive a response, including a copy of the bill. This bill, I have been informed by the other occupant, had noted “Due to Briarcliff Apartments: $0.00. If this is accurate, then there seems to be no issue
- I left a forwarding address when I returned the key fob. In fact, I had to wait for paperwork to be pulled, and the office staff noted my forwarding address. There seems to be an issue with maintaining paperwork as our notice of move was also lost, having been placed in the rent Dropbox, requiring a second one being completed
