Stellar service from start to finish. Chris was personable, professional and very knowledgeable. His expertise helped us make perfect selections. The installer was efficient, hardworking and did a beautiful job with every single window. His skill made the installation a breeze. We couldn't be happier with how our home looks with these blinds! What a fabulous experience it was dealing with The Blind Shack. Prompt professional service and reasonable pricing. I would highly recommend them for anyone in need of new blinds or service on existing ones.

Salesman misrepresented product & himself. Owner did not provide refund as owner promised.
6-6-19 salesman took order for $1,990.00 for blinds in 2 bathrooms, one office and one bedroom and also outdoor patio sun shades for west facing patio. Asked salesman repeatedly about the outdoor shades. How they would look, about the fabric, etc. Salesman said he has installed a lot of these and the draw-down shades would look great. Salesman also represented himself as a VP of the company & said he ran the day to day operations of the company (which owner later confirmed was not true).
Bedroom order came in wrong. Outdoor shades were a nightmare. When they installed the outdoor patio shades each shade had strong "wave lines running through the fabric" and you could not bear to look at them. They would actually make you dizzy - it was very strange. We called the owner. Owner came out and agreed the shades were terrible & that he could not look at them either. Owner said he would take them down and provide refund. Owner suddenly became unavailable - would not return phone or text messages. We repeatedly called Owner. Owner never gave us anything in writing or verbally that implied our order was not refundable. After numerous attempts Owner only refunded $400.00. Owner again said you could not refund custom order - we told Owner he never said that to us and we did not have anything in writing that states that. Owner always told us he would give refund. We are still waiting for remaining funds. This is not a reputable business.

Desired Outcome

Full refund for the outdoor patio sun shades that owner said he would refund. Owner never told us these were not refundable AND we never signed or was given anything in writing that states no refunds. Owner stated he would refund and only refunded $400.00 of this order.

..1900.00 was for entire home which they liked if they say otherwise it is false ..customer agreed to a 800 dollar refund which we already gave 400.00 dollars ...I have his textnessage to prove this is true ....we are refunding his other 400 as soon as he explains the truth on hehere....to easy for him to make up a false stastatement

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)As clearly stated in our initial complaint with the Revdex.com and as business owner states in his response he agreed to refund $800.00 for the outdoor sunshades that were horrible (this was on July 24, 2019). Business owner also states in his response that he ONLY gave a $400.00 refund (this was on August 5, 2019). We attempted many many times to get business owner to honor the FULL refund that was promised. IT WAS NOT UNTIL we filed this complaint with the Revdex.com did the business owner FINALLY give the remainder that was due to us (finally received on September 17, 2019). If business owner had just refunded the remainder as initially promised then this complaint would not have been necessary. Case closed.

put in wrong blinds and won't replace, never return calls 6 x's
After they left my home from installing our window treatments, I tried to open the kitchen blind. In stead of putting two small er shades uo they put one long in. When I tried to pen it it was so heavy that the string was cutting into my hand. I immediately called them within 10 minutes of leaving my house and they said they would order the two blinds and come to install them the following week. Well they never came and they never called. So I stated calling them and left several msg's. Then we posted a negative review on their web site and then they called and said they would come out last week and replace the one big one with 2 small ones and never did. I find this really amazing and very frustarting. I guess they think seniorsn won't fight back but surprise some of us will. All I want is for them to do the right thing

Purchased Plantation Shutters on all windows with large trim (total of 10 windows) and a solar shade in gray white with remote control for a total of $5,230.00
No issue with Plantation Shutters other than I was not provided with manufacturer name or warranty information
Issue with Solar Shade for $1050. First install never happened. Installers opened up box and shade fabric was clearly damaged. Second install occurred on 6/17/19 and there were frayed ends and creases. I called owner *** and he said to have installers call manufacturer. Installers called manufacturer who guaranteed the shade would straighten out/the creases would disappear in 7-10 days. This is written on the receipt. The shade to date has not straightened out. The ends are frayed everywhere, and the shade provides no privacy. At point of sale in my home, *** gave us a sample of the shade fabric and promised the shade would not crease or fray as a previous one I had at a different home. The shade installed does NOT match the sample *** gave us. The shade is creased and frayed. We were also told the shade would provide privacy as long as bright lights are not on. This turns out to be untrue. *** has been contacted numerous times via email and phone and has chosen not to be responsive and therefore no resolution has been made.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund for the shade ($1050) which I'm happy to give back. It's been an ongoing ordeal and I simply want to be able to finish setting up my new construction home with quality products. An offer of a 3rd replacement shade at this point is mute and will not resolve the matter. I do not want to conduct any additional business with The Blind Shack/***. Thank you for your assistance. I have pictures upon request to back up all statements made above.

The shade does match the sample. The shade is still creased after 1.5 months far beyond the 7-10 days the manufacturer told us it would straighten out. The shade is completely frayed on the ends and the shade provides no privacy. We were sold an item that's completely different than the item delivered and installed.

I previously sent Hector Villegas pictures of the shade to be forwarded to ***, however, he's no longer with the Revdex.com. I will attach the pictures of the shade, the sample of fabric given to me, and the receipt that states the shade creases will straighten out in 7-10 days per the manufacturer. I believe these are already attached to the complaint but will do it again.

I want the manufacturer and warranty information for both the plantation shutters and roller shade. This information should have been provided at install.

I ordered and paid for Planation shutters told they were installed and they were not. All of the payment was given.
Owner lied to me about the fact
I paid for half of the cost of the shutters 1140.00 via my credit card
Installation was to happen on the 29th. It did not. It was to happen the next day the 30th. I paid for that as we;; 1240.00
The owner told me the installation happened, the shutters looked great and he'd send pictures. He had my key and would return.
There were NO shutters in the house, he cashed the check and did not return my house keys.

Desired Outcome

I am looking to have my money returned to me.

We installed all the shutters ...we just a couple days behinf....but job is completed

11 blinds ordered and paid for. One blind is still crooked; at least 4 blinds are not SNOW WHITE as specified in the sales contract.
*** of Blind Shack appears to have multiple addresses. I sent a complaint letter on Jan 25, 2019 to 414 SW Sheffield Cir, Port St. Lucie FL XXXXX. His sales documents and brochure do not list a mailing address. I will re-send the letter to any other addresses I can find. I will also print my letter and try faxing to the number on my sales document.

Initial order date: 09/04/18 $1,300 with $650 deposit. I ordered "2 inch WOOD BLINDS IN SNOW WHITE" - Blind Shack installed vinyl blinds (faux wood). I did not pay the balance and insisted all blinds should be as specified in sales document.
10/23/18 faux wood blinds were replaced with wood and I paid the balance with a written notation by the installer "need to replace laundry rm. blind".
I subsequently noticed the wood blinds were NOT all the same color (SNOW WHITE) that I ordered and paid for.
Mr. said they had the replacement laundry room blind and I made appointment for 01/24/XXXX X:XX-noon arrival time window to have replacement blind installed AND for installer to bring a color chart to compare blinds for correct color.

Mr. lied to me the entire day on 01/24/2019, no one showed and Mr. kept assuring me someone would be there and I agreed to have them come in the afternoon. As of 5:00 I had placed 10 phone calls to him, and Mr. was still lying about the appointment. I left one more voice message on 01/25/2019 and sent letter stating clearly that I expect him to comply with the sales terms.

The issue has not been resolved and I would like for my complaint to remain active until Blink Shack follows through and corrects the problem is color mismatched blinds.

*** has provided one laundry room blind to replace the blind that was crooked. We have communicated and are working the problem, but the problem has not been resolved

One of our plantation shutters installed is warped and we have been in contact with the business to get this resolved since early May.
We purchased plantation shutters from the Blind Shack in March of 2018 for all of our windows. After a short delay, they arrived and were installed. The initial install did not go well and we had to have the owner come out the next day to correct numerous problems with the way the shutters were installed. He originally sent one installer for what he described to me was a two man job. He did correct most of the issues we had but one shutter did not hang properly. We noticed this about a month after the install was complete. I called the company and left a message but no one returned my call. I called again several weeks later and again had to leave a message and no return phone call. After another month went by without a return phone call I called again. Again I had to leave a message and no return call. Finally around August 21st I was able to talk to the owner and he agreed to send out one of his installers to see if the problem could be corrected. His installer came on August 22 and determined that the shutter was warped an needed to be replaced. I did not get a call from the owner confirming that so I called him two days later and he told me he had ordered a replacement shutter. Another six weeks went by and since I had not heard from the owner I attempted to call to find out what was going on. I called at least three times over the next month always having to leave a message and none of my calls were returned. Finally, on Friday November 16th I called and the owner answered. He told me "let's schedule it now" and he also told me that the shutter just came in. We scheduled the work to be done today November 20th for ten o'clock. When no one showed up by 10:30 I attempted to call the owner, but had to leave a voice mail message. After two more calls I finally spoke to him at 11:27 am and he told me he would "call John to see where he was". As I write this complaint, it is now 12:11 pm and I have not received a return phone call. I did try to reach him again at 11:45 but he did not answer and I left another voice mail message.

Desired Outcome

I want the shutter replaced as promised.

The owner sent his installer to our home on August 22nd to check the shutter. After examination and attempts to correct the problem he stated to me that the shutter was obviously warped and had to be replaced. He told me he would inform his boss. When I did not hear from the owner for a few days I called him to discuss the issue. He told me he had ordered a new shutter and would get back to me when he received the new shutter. After about a month and a half I called him to inquire about the new shutter. I had to leave a voice message which he never returned. I called several more times over the next month always having to leave a voice message. He did not return any of those calls. Finally, I got to speak with him on my last call to him. He told me the shutter had just come in and "let's schedule" the installation. We scheduled the installation for November 20th at 10:00 am. When no one showed up by 11:00 am I called him. I had to leave several message which he never returned, but finally after about the third call he answered and said he would contact his worker John to see when he would be here and he would call me back. He never called me back. I attempted to reach him several more time that day leaving messages and he never returned my calls all day. These are the facts. There is nothing with wrong with my window. The other five panels are all fine not to mention the fact that the shutters all sit in a frame made by the manufacturer. Mr. Duggans response to my complaint was a simple one liner to comply, but it is not accurate or truthful.

I purchased Plantation Shutters from this firm in March 2018. *** Duncan was the salesman. He also is Owner of online firm theblindshack.com. I contacted them as a result of local advertising magazine "Gardens Living" mylivingmagazine.com.
Shutters were delivered, but did not fit the openings. The installers, complained about the installation would not work as the measures were wrong by *** Duncan. We paid in full because on their second trip to correct the installation, they were two hours late arriving and I left them working while my husband supervised, however my husband did not know the issues with the shutters and when they ask to be paid in full, he did so. I have contacted *** Duncan several times, also the website to review, but no results to make an attempt to correct the issue. The Plantation shutters will not close properly, or hang properly. They drag the floor when trying to open and close, do not meet in the center and no way to fasten the center together,no caulk around trip pieces. After I placed a review on their website, I received an email saying they would be out to correct. Never arrived. All I am asking is for them to correct the issue or replace the product. This company is a fraud but they still advertise in the Mylivingmagazine.com magazine. I have called other firm to see if I can get them fixed, but no one will touch the work of *** Duncan or the Blind Shack. Their website and invoice show locations in Palm Beach, Jupiter, Stuart, Port St. Lucie and Vero Beach. ***@yahoo.com This mess cost $6,000.00

I contacted another Blind Shutter company who came to the house to see the issue. The problem is the sales person should never have sold this product to me as he should have know the sizes required and whether the manufacture could produce a product that would work in my house. I am not in the Blind shutter business and would not have known, however *** has been in this business for quite sometime and would know this. To me this was fraud on his part. The fact that he came by for only a few minutes while the install was done and never returned to inspect was my first clue that he might be the crook here. The installers did what they thought they could and were going to get back to the manufacture for additional help but never returned. I am sure, I am not the only person to be taken by *** and The Blind Shack.

Will not come out and service product despite several calls and appointments. Complete rip off

Blind Shack started a Job and never finished it. They installed plantation shutters inside my house, and didn't complete all the shutter installation. One shutter needed a piece that was on order. They were also suppose to return to installing horizontal blinds. I call this company numerous times and left messages. None of these calls were returned. Finally I called and the owner answered. I made an appointment with him to have someone complete the job. No one showed up that day. I waited home all day and no one showed. I continue to call and no one returns my calls. This company took my money and ran with it and I've been dealing with this problem for months.

They need to finish the job and/or refund me some of my money I paid them.

Need my blind track fixed and store refuses to take my calls to fix it.
We purchased blinds from blind shack in 2008, we have replaced the track March of 2016 and broke February 2017. We called them several times regarding the issue and left messages and no one calls is back. I finally reached someone named *** and I'm not sure if he's the owner but he says he's going to show up and he doesn't and we wait for an hour for him to show up. We call him and he hangs up the phone on us. Finally I reached him again and he tells us not to call him anymore. This has got to be the most unprofessional company I have come across. We just needed the track that they replaced a year ago to be fixed. I hope you can make this company liable somehow for their actions. We want the track to be replaced or repaired which ever makes the blinds more functional.

we did not break the track. it just does not work after replacing it 10-11 months ago. I'm a she not a he and I did not receive any calls. I was the one who was calling with no response and when I finally talked to *** he told me that we should not call anymore. we will call your shop to set up a time and day.

Ordered blinds from this company in February 2017 and was promised a delivery date of 8 to 10 weeks. We are now 4 months, several cancelled appointments, multiple no show appointments and more than 8 missed days of work and still showed up with 1 shutter for 6 windows and still managed to get that wrong. The owner will ignore your phone calls, set up multiple appointments that he never intends to keep. (Wednesday is his go to day). And when they the installers do show up they will bad mouth the company and speak amongst themselves as If you are not even in the room. I now have a living room full of mismeasured shutters and have hired another company to fix this mess. I have filed a compliant with the state and hired an attorney to get my money back. Fortunately since the owner rarely picks up his phone all of his lies are in writing. If your thinking about using this company donate the money to a charity and hang a bedsheet over the window, you'll be happier at the end.

I am sorry this gentleman feels this way we have done 80 percent of the work and I asked him and have on record asking him if he would like a refund for unfinished work and he said no.but we have sent a refund for unfinished work .
