The associtate was notified that the washer smelled like gas and didnt not refund me money or try to resolved the issue just assumed it was my fault
Customers clothes smelled of gas upon entering establishment according to several other customers. One customer (the one who had used this washer just before her, her clothes did not smell of gasoline, there is only a water line to the wash so no way for gasoline to get into the washer and if it was there prior to their clothes being inside, the previous customer who had used the machine 15 mins before *** would have had the same problem and did not). They chose to further complain after this was shown and explained.. the attendant then gave this couple the owners email address and the number which routes to the owner and they demanded she refund them instead. This is not a practice of the business to just allow refunds for customer issues such as this. Our machine was not at fault, several other customers used the machine after this couple without error the same evening, again, pointing to an issue with the customers clothing and not the actual machine. This was escalated by the customer in such a negative manner that they literally were holding my employee hostage in the building, they threatened her life to the point she locked herself in a room for 3 hours until the police decided to finally show up. My employee was unable to come out and assist other customers out of fear of her life because these two ladies were threatening to harm her. We ended up having to issue a non-trespass warrant so they would not return. She would have pressed charges for the threats made by it became a he said/she said and because it took so long for police to arrive, all the witnesses to ***s threats had already left. The cops had advised if she wanted to retain money at this point, she needed to file a small claims dispute through the municipal court.
