I placed 3 items on lay-a-way. I then had a bad experience with one of the employees and no longer wanted to purchase the items.I decided to only purchase one thing using the money I had put down the day prior. I was told that was considered a refund and that in order to proceed with a refund I would lose all the money I put down and have to repurchase the one item separately. I insisted that the one item cost more than the deposit but I was ok losing the remainder if I could just not purchase anything else. The employee would not give me contact information for the owner or an address where I could send that person a complaint. I was told she was where the complaint would go.Desired SettlementI would like to purchase the one item with the money I put down.
Dishonest sales. Refusal of repair or exchange.Did not provide written sales contract stating all sales final.Purchased Frigidaire washer and dryer set from the Bargain Shop on Bell Fork Rd. on 05-11-14. Sales Rep/Owner issued store credit in the amount of $480 for the trade of a MacBook Pro for the Washer and Dryer. shortly after delivery, the set was hooked up. On the first load in the dryer, I began to smell smoke, pulled clothes from the dryer, where the back of the dryer was flaming red and on fire. On 05/19/14, I went to the Bargain Shop to ask for a repair or exchange because I was verbally told the set was in "perfect and adequate working condition." There was no contract that was signed stating all sales were final and no repairs or exchanges could be made. The owner rudely refused to help and I left the store. Desired SettlementI want the business to repair the dryer or replace it at no cost as soon as possible.
This company has not backed up their new products, leaving me holding the bag and blaming me. In mid October, my wife and I purchased a NEW table and chairs. With in two weeks the chairs support beams were breaking in the same place in 4 of the 6 chairs. I contacted them Nov 1. They said they would call back, to no avail. I messaged them Nov 24 through [redacted], with no response. I posted poor reviews of my experience on Social media sites such as "[redacted]" on[redacted] and their own[redacted] page, and the like. Only THEN did they reach out to me to blame me every way they could. This company has a history of 1 star customer service and action. Most stores would do anything they could to make customers happy with a faulty product. All broken chairs are breaking in the EXACT same spot. and because my husband repaired them after contacting them with no avail? It's our fault. This is absurd! STAY AWAY from this company. They sell crappy products that they do not back up then blame the customer! /////Desired SettlementI would like the 4 chairs that continually keep breaking since week 2 of purchase, to be replaced with a guarantee! /////
