Review: Hey there. I seen a [redacted] on this lot 5/1/13. The [redacted] came out and talk to me about the car and took me on a short test drive. He said he just got the and hadn't priced it yet. I asked had the car been in a accident. Yes he said, they just had to replace the front and back bumpers. He then told me it was not a salvage title , it was a insurance buy back car. I asked to see a carfax report and he showed me the [redacted] saying it was the same thing. I bought the car for 7500 with 6000 down. On 12/7/13 a deer hit my car. I called my insurance and they towed it to [redacted] in [redacted] Va. They took the car down and found a lot of damage from a previous accident and told the insurance company that needed to be fixed before they could start fixing the current damage. The insurance company totaled my car because of that. [redacted] the Claims Rep told me that the title of the was deemed a total loss on 07/23/12. Being that it was they deducted $2000 off my offer. The Auto Store still say that the car wasn't a total loss or a salvage title. Had he told me the car was totaled when I asked bout the accident I would not had bought it. So now he gets the rest of his money 1300 and i'm out of a car. I have an ISO REPORT stating the car was totaled and The Auto Store bought it and how much they paid for it. please helpDesired Settlement: I would like the money I spent on this car that was sold to me under false pretense.

Response:
Called and spoke to [redacted] about this complaint. He states the customer was aware of the history of the car when he came to look at it and then purchase it. In the complaint the customer states that he was shown the [redacted], this report would have disclosed the history of the car and would tell the customer that the car was an insurance buy back. It was for this reason and all the damage that was pointed out at the time of the purchase that the customer received such a large discount. The car did not have a salvage or rebuilt title, the insurance company may have said that but it is clear in the [redacted] that the title for the car is fine. The customer was aware of all of this when he brought the car, and the issue came into play once he was involved in an accident in the car months after his purchase.
