The Athlete's Foot

The Athlete's Foot [redacted] does not honor normal exchange practicesI purchased a toddler pair of [redacted] for a 3 year old child and after 2 wears the threading in the toe area came undone. I went to the store with box and receipt and requested an exchange and I was told NO because they were worn. My issue is the shoes should not have come undone after 2 wears by a 3 year old child that is not even active enough to tear up a shoe that fast. They refused to exchange the shoes and proceeded to say the reason is because [redacted] won't allow them to send them back. That response is unacceptable, unfortunately they need to take that up with [redacted], I should not be stuck with defective footwear because they don't want to go through the effort of working with [redacted] to return them or even more take it as a store loss. They blamed it all on being a franchise and how they can't afford losses like that. I spoke with the store manager [redacted] and the owner [redacted] and neither would honor an exchange which would be honored absolutely anywhere else. The shoes were 1 week old and had only been worn twice by a 3 year old child and box and receipt were all present.Desired SettlementI originally wanted to exchange the shoe for the exact same item. But after their terrible customer service I would prefer a refund and I would never do business in this store again. They give all franchises a bad name.
