We (tenants) have made MORE THAN 4 service requests due to the AC not cooling properly over the past two/three months. Someone will “service” it, but the problem persists. The check out service ticket will say completed, but the AC does not cool properly. I’ve complained to two front desk employees and they’ll submit the request, but the AC won’t consistently cool the apartment. It is almost 80° in our apartment and it is 7:45 pm. Our AC has to run all day so that the apartment does not heat above 80° F, but the AC running consistently for such long periods of time without reaching the set temperature drains our energy bill.
This issue has been address and taken care of since 6/21/19. We have been in contact with residents and they are 100% satisfied with the completed request.The issue was the nest thermostat automatically programmed to a higher temperature when residents were home and also not at home. We cleared the programming in the thermostat and the a/c has been cooling at the residents desired temperature.
Since I moved into the Aspect apartments in May of 2018 I have had to submit at least 8 service requests to have my HVAC system fixed. As of today, December 10, 2018 the issue is still not resolved. Initially in late May early June I submitted a request to have my AC fixed as it was failing to properly cool my apartment, temperature in my apartment staying above 80 no matter what I set the unit at. After 4 service requests and almost two months later and after complaining to management (*** and *** the service tech finally addressed the issue informing me the unit was not installed properly, hot water was entering the AC and they had to disconnect the heater for the AC to work and they would need to come back at a later time to fully correct the issue, this was never done. I submitted another service ticket in November due to the heater not heating the apartment with the apartment temperature in the upper 50’s. After two days and 3 service requests this was finally addressed. The fix was disconnect my AC so the heater would work, effectively leaving me to choose if I want a functioning AC or heater. I reached out again to *** and Damon Montevideo stating I wanted my unit fully corrected and communication on when to expect service, service was scheduled for December 7, 2018 as of today no service has taken place and no communication on a delay or possible service date.
