on December 18 2019 took my 2008 ford focus to get serviced at al smith Chrysler as of today it changed ownership and is now Thayer Chrysler, when I got my car home on December 18 2019 I noticed my fiberglass body panels along the bottom of my car where cracked I took the car back on December 21 also on 23 back on January 6 also made about 6 phone calls no one would cooperate with me ,on January 6 2020 the service manager told me the insurance co would not pay for damage because the car was to old and that my car flexed on the hoist, the damage on each side of the car is where the hoist arms where placed under my car, they pretty much admitted it happened when they made the excuse the car flexed on the hoist, my insurance man *** peters also contacted the service manager *** and he was not cooperative with him ,*** peters from *** insurance phone no *** has information about this incident, personally I think al smith didn't want to pay for the damage because he was in the middle of selling his dealership thank you

Desired Outcome

Repair replace the 2 fiberglass body panels , paint and install, I just put them on 1 year ago at a cost of about 400.00 dollars ,the body panels were 200.00 and the paint and install was 200.00 I am not trying to profit off the incident I just want my car fixed and the age of the car shouldn't matter I keep my cars well maintained

as of February 7 2020 dealership has got parts for my car just waiting on a time for replacement

We purchased a new vehicle recently, trading our 2012 Dodge Journey in the process. We began servicing our 2012 car with Al Smith Chrysler upon purchasing it from A.J. Smith, and we were absolutely pleased with the service department. This led to our recent purchase of a 2019 Dodge Journey via A.J. Smith, now Sales Manager. The entire purchase transaction proceeded very smoothly, with A.J. going the "extra mile" obtaining the same model and color as our trade in model, as we had requested. Our relationship with Al Smith Chrysler has been great beyond expectations and we anticipate remaining with them. One could not ask for better salesmanship and service.

I bought or leased vehicles in 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2019. They really do treat people like family and there isn't any high pressure. Also would recommend the service department for competitive pricing and great service.

Apurchased a used vehicle and made my full down payment, the dealer said I must pay $250 more to them or they won't release the title.
Purchased 2016 Mazda mx-5 miata. They said due to their error I have to pay $250 more than contract states or they won't release the title and the car will be repossessed. I am conconcerned they can keep holding the title and demanding more money, so I have advised that I will pay for their errors but only after I receive the title (even though I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake)

Desired Outcome

I want the title sent to me via overnight mail.

At Al Smith Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, it is our goal to give everyone an exceptional customer experience, every time. As a dealer, we know how important our reputation is to our future business, and we want to make sure that we take great care of all of our guests. We are sorry that we made the error.
We have been in contact with Mr. regarding the mix up and all things seem to be on the proper path now.
The title was mailed to him on May 7th, 2019, and it should be in his possession soon, if not already.
We will reach out to Mr. later this week to ensure he has received the title as expected.

Al smith lied about my car needing a brand new transmission to get $4,000 out of me.
In Janauary of 2019 I had come to a stop and went to press the gas and my car would not do anything. I had my car towed to Al Smith and they proceeded to tell me that my transmission was out. I needed a brand new transmission and it was going to cost $4,000. Well after that I wanted a 2nd opinion so I had my car towed to *** in Bowling Green, Ohio they proceeded to tell me the same thing. Well after letting my car sit there for weeks I decided I wanted a 3rd opinion. I then had my car towed to Maumee, Ohio, to ***. They had a specialist come out and look at my car and had my car fixed in 2 days. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my transmission. All that was wrong with my car was it needed transmission fluid and there was a crack in one of the pipes. And on top of this the mechanics who fixed my car at *** said the guy at *** did absolutely nothing to my car. There were missing bolts and screws off of my car. AL SMITH NEEDS and *** NEEDS TO FACE CONSEQUENCES FOR THIS THEY ARE JUST GOING TO KEEP LYING TO OTHER PEOPLE. I can't believe this had happened to me. I went without my car for a month because of them lying to me when I could have had it fixed it 2 days. Please do something about this.

I would like a refund. That is all I am asking for.

In order to ensure the best possible outcome for all of our service customers, our Service department at Al Smith Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has a duty to abide by the MOPAR diagnostic processes and procedures as directed by our OEM, Fiat Chrysler of America. As it should be in any service department, our goal is to provide every service customer with a safe and reliable vehicle upon return, and if we cannot, we at the very least provide the information needed to properly convey what we believe needs attention in order for their vehicle to be safe and reliable.

With the case of the ***'s, our approach was no different. When we set out to diagnose the vehicle's transmission issues, the vehicle's computer displayed an "internal failure" code. As such, and following the diagnostic process set forth by MOPAR, we confidently recommended the transmission be replaced. While we are sorry that the ***'s took it somewhere else and found a different opinion regarding a long term fix for their car, we are not confident in the quality of the repairs completed to this point, and fear they may have only found a temporary fix. Again, we are sorry that the ***'s feel we somehow acted unscrupulously, but we're confident we made the proper, safety minded recommendation for their vehicle. With regards to the requested refund, we will process and mail a check to reimburse the ***'s for the half hour of diagnostic time that was charged.

I'm okay with their response all I wanted is my money back and a apology from them. But I do still feel they are in the wrong. The stated since I took my car somewhere else to get fixed it's just a " temporary fix ". Obviously it's not and obviously it was not my transmission that needed replaced like Al Smith said. If I needed a new transmission obviously my car would not be running right now it's been fine ever since I took it to another shop. Thank you.

bought a car dealer was going to take care of lease on old car didn't.
We bought a new 2018 jeep from the dealer was replacing a 2015 ford fusion. the ford had 2 payments left on the lease the dealership said they would get us out of the lease and turn the car in. about 3 weeks after I turned the car in to al smith I got a call from ford they said my payment was later on the ford I told the I didn't have it and Al smith dealership turned it in and was taken care of the remaining lease. They informed me they did not have the car. and Al smith did not turn it in or take care of the last 2 payments on the lease. I called Al smiths they found the car they still had it and said they was not going to be able to take care of the rest of the lease but would turn the car in. I was mislead by this dealership.

Desired Outcome

I want Al Smith To turn my car over to ford honor our agreement and pay the remaining 2 months of the lease.

I bought my first car from Al Smith and only took it there to get services. They were very friendly and provided the best customer service I have experienced. They have always treated me well and are very honest. I recently had to get a new car after my accident and the first place I thought of was Al Smith because of the lasting impression they have left on me and how well they have serviced my vehicle in the past. ***, the man who helped me with my new vehicle, made me feel comofortable with my selection and took the time to show me all the features of my car. He fully answered any and all questions I had for him, and that's not something you get from other dealerships. This dealership is the best out there!

Just bought a truck from Al Smith in bowling green a little over a week ago, great dealership explained everything extremely well and gave me a fair price for a trade it over all extremely happy with my new truck and the deal I made with the Al Smith Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram
