Texas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery - Stephenville

Saw dentist for tooth extraction. Was then charged $300 for consult regarding dental implant at later date that I did not request. Upon paying for extractions I was told I could receive the $300 back if I decided at later date to not have implants. I said at that time that I was not going to have implants. Was told that “This charge is just in case you decide at later date to have us place implants. You can get a refund if you decide against them when you return in May 2020” I requested the $300 refund in May 2020 but was told that “The dentist performed the evaluation so we will not refund the money to you.” I requested the dentist call me back so I could discuss with him but have received no response after 3+ weeks.
FOLLOWUP: When I called the dentist office on 7/27/2020 I was told that the $300 was for “extraction consult & imaging”. This is NOT what I was told on 10/31/2019 when I first saw the dentist nor on 6/19/2020 when I first requested a refund. I believe that after my initial complaint to dentist that the $300 amount was re-coded to this different coding.
