I purchased a 2012 chyrsler 300 on 8/5/2019 from Luxury Autoline in Columbia, SC and today 11/14/19 I still do not have my car tags. Travis Creech sold me the car without a title. I have a loan with credit acceptance and full coverage car insurance but I cannot get a tag because the company doesnt have the title. I have recieved 3 paper tags from this company. the last tag expired 10/27/19 and the one I have now will soon expire. I recieved a letter stating that they applied for tags, but I think it may be fraudulent. I have been asking the employees about my tags, but no one seems to know anything. when I brought my car I had to wait on the sales manager Eric O to come into the office to sell the car because no one else could do it, which I thought was strange, but ignored it. also a few days after I brought my car I recieved a phone call that they had got me a new loan through credit acceptance and it came wiht a warranty for me to get my bluetooth fixed in the car. I wasnt too happy about the new loan because I never agreed to them getting me a new loan after I had already signed paperwork for the loan I started with. but still I followed through because I trusted them as a car dealership. I still do not have tags or any explaination for where or why I was sold a car with no title. if I get pull over by the police this will be a battle trying to prove the car is mine and not stolen. it's been months and still no resolve.

Refund I would like a refund for this car. I had paid a $5500 down payment and over a thousand dollars in car payments for car that doesn't have a title. i held up my end of the contract by paying my payments on time and maintaing car insurance. i have paid thousands of dollars in car insurance and still have no tag. Also i have paid money on maintence. Over $800 on car maintence. I would like to be refunded all of this money if possible; if not i would like all the money i paid to Luxury Autoline
Mr. came to the dealership to purchase a vehicle and spoke to the sales team and filled out an application. We advised that depending on his credit profile, that it would determine what his down payment, payments, and approval rate would be. Due to his credit no one would finance him at where he wanted to be as far as payments and terms goes. He asked us what it would take to get the payments and terms where he wanted them to be and to get him approved in a car. We sent it up and got the answer for him and advised him that to get him financed where he wanted that it would cost him $5500 due to his credit, Mr. agreed. We got him approved and financed with Credit Acceptance, during this time the representative from credit acceptance came to the dealership and assisted us with closing the deal thru them since it was a new to us in our system. We received funding about two days later and payed off the vehicle from our floor plan company.
After getting funding we immediately payed off the floor plan company and as normal we waited for them to send us the title once that happens. We do not keep titles to the cars on site prior to paying off the cars from the floor plan company because they keep them until we pay the vehicle off in full.
After paying off Mr. XXXX XXX from our floor plan company I waited about two weeks after not receiving the title to see where it was and why we had not received it. At this time we were advised that it had been sent us by USPS weeks prior. At this point they said it may have been lost in shipping to us. After hearing the news, I reached out to Mr. to advise him of the situation to let him know.
My floor plan company reach out to the place where the car was purchased from to see if they could help with getting a duplicate title and they could not help so at that point a Tag Agency has been bought in to assist with getting a duplicate done.
I advised Mr. of the situation and gave him a copy of the letter and a new paper tag in case he got stopped and advised him to keep the letter in his vehicle that I received from the floor plan company explaining that a duplicate title had been applied for in case law enforcement had any questions as to what was going on. I also told him that he could call me if he had any issues with law enforcement due to his tags.
I have spoken to my floor plan company on a few occasions and they stated that they are close to resolving the issues and it should be here very soon but could not give me a definitive date. We definitely apologize for any inconvenience that this is causing Mr.. This was an unforeseen event and there is nothing fraudulent about this situation. Hopefully this can be resolved ASAP but we are at the mercy of a Tag Agency, an out of state DMV, and the mailman. As soon as it comes, I will reach out to Mr. and deliver his tags personally so we do not have to inconvenience him any further.
