Extremely poor customer service and lying by omission which has resulted in the delayed delivery of our household goods by two weeks. We made 4-5 different requests via phone call to Terminal Storage to request that our household goods be delivered to our new home in Alabama as close to the pick up date as possible. Our goods were being loaded in NC on 25June15, we requested to have them delivered on the 27th. We were told that the delivery would be dependent on how many other stops the driver had to make and that it would probably be later than we wanted. However, only after our goods were loaded onto the truck did Terminal inform us that we would not be receiving our belongings until the 8th or 9th of June because our driver was literally taking a vacation in between loading our goods and delivering them. My family is now living in sleeping bags in an empty house while I am going to work at a new base without my household goods. How does that happen? How is customer service that low of a priority? Why wasn't I told this until it was too late to do anything about it with the post transportation or contracting offices? Doesn't that seem dishonest?Deployments, weeks away training, and long duty hours are bad enough, but it really makes serving in the military hard when you have to watch your family sacrifice like this because of sub-par companies who are parasites on the government contracting system.Desired SettlementDeliver my household goods to my drop off address immediately. Get a new driver if necessary. Forego any other stops in route to my location.
