We hired Tents and Events to do the centerpieces for our May 22nd, 2020 wedding. The total of the contract of $1,835.70 was paid in full on 8/19/19. On 2/25/2020 I received a call from *** the owner who said they were closing Tents & Events so would no longer be able to provide our centerpieces for the wedding and they'd be sending a check for a refund. I received a check for $1,835.70 and deposited it in my account. On Monday March 23rd I received a call from my bank stating that the check was returned for non sufficient funds. I called *** who said oh yes, our ticketer or something like that owes them money and he's working on getting money to be able to pay for things. I am not comfortable with "being patient" and want to know what I can do to get our money back.
I reached out to the consumer and told her we have had a major issue with a ticketing company who owes us alot of money. We have not had any income since the 1st part of March due to the ticketing company holding funds due to COVID-19. We will have check by the end of month.
