Temple Faculty Physicians

I am filing this complaint against Temple Faculty Physicians on behalf of ***, deceased.
On Wednesday, August 28, 2019, *** was admitted at Temple University Hospital Emergency Room. On Friday, August 30, 2019, he was discharged.
On Friday, September 6, 2019, he was again admitted at Temple University Hospital Emergency Room. He passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, leaving his wife and two teenage children.
According to record, the bills of *** was $833,292.00. His insurance company, ***, paid a total of $832,541.70.
I do not know how the organization did their calculation, but they sent his wife, ***, a bill in the amount of $1,015.35. The organization also send ***’s bill to *** in Norwood MA.
His wife, who does not speak English, asked me to call the organization to see whether she can apply for financial assistance because she is working as a home health aide making only $12.00 an hour. His daughter and son are in high school. They only received $445.00 each from Social Security Survivor.
When I called the organization, the Customer Service Representative was very rude. She refused to talk to me even though ***’s wife gave me the permission to talk to the organization. The company representative’s excuse was that ***’s wife did not have the power of attorney.
The organization knew that *** had passed away, and his wife does not have the power of attorney; however, they continued to send his wife the bills and they also send ***’s bills to a collection agency. This speaks volume to their greed and the depth of their moral depravity.
