Terrible customer service post the August 2016 flooding in South Louisiana. I have a loan that has been current and incurred damage as a result of the aforementioned storm. As a flood policy holder, I have collected funds to repair my home. All funds are made payable to myself and GMFS, as the lender. An initial "advance" check was endorsed and sent back to me promptly. Remaining funds, not so simple. I mailed a check that was received November 17, 2016. Upon receipt, I was asked to also forward signed documents from licensed contractor who will handle repairs. I was NOT told they would be returning the check to me. So, lo and behold, within a day, the un-endorsed check is in my mail box. In the interim, I was instructed NOT to endorse any checks until the lender endorsed them. I mail all documents, the check for a second time, and get a returned check in the mail the same week because, now, my endorsement is required prior to theirs. I was promised funds would be forwarded to me on December 27th with no further stipulations until the next set of funds was requested (subject to inspection). My USPS tracking number (as of 12/28) still did not show a shipment. I was then told, that day, that my funds could not be released because the amount of funds received thus far was less than the amount of repairs on contractor's estimate! Less than an hour later, I get an apologetic phone call from a property damage claims specialist saying that there was a mistake-that the insurance settlement shows that there is enough money to cover contractor's estimate and that my funds would be mailed December 29th. Today is the 30th, I have heard nothing more from these people and still do not show a shipped mailer. I have been requesting a supervisor over the phone for weeks now, to no avail. I was told I was on a call back list for this supervisor and haven't even received contact from her. I have been a loan customer for several years now, have had a good payment history, and want to restore my home to its pre-flood state. These people have done nothing but exemplify inefficiency, carelessness, inconsideration, and total ineptitude towards me. I will be seeking a new lender once I am through collecting my flood damages from them. Be very wary of GMFS.

Telefund has engaged in repeated harassment of me and my family by calling my home phone number twice a day, seven days a week for over two months. A day after I arranged to have the number listed above (XXX-XXX-XXXX) blocked, they began calling from a different number, using tactics similar to that of collection agencies. An eventual discussion with one of their phone 'reps' (made basically under duress), revealed that Telefund intentionally calls repeatedly, twice a day, until the 'customer' picks up. So, like a collection agency, it harasses customers, or more appropriately 'targets', by phoning incessantly until the target has no other choice but to answer in desperation of ending the endless harassment. If a private person were to call a person every day, twice daily for months on end and did not stop until he reached the victim, it would likely constitute a misdemeanor offense of harassment; the fact that Telefund is a business, even if working for charity, does not make it engaging in similar acts permissible. In fact, Telefund's behavior has discouraged me from seeking to provide any further support to the charity it has harassed on behalf.

We were affected by the flooding in Louisiana and GMFS said we did not have to pay our mortgage for 3 months and that those 3 months would be added on the end of the loan. We were told this by 3 different people when we called 3 different times. I had the money for November so I called to pay it. I find out that we need to pay the other 2 months right away. Every person we were transferred to was extremely rude and kept pressuring us to pay that second. Money does not grow on trees. I paid one month and now I am having to wipe out my savings account to pay the other 2 months all because we were lied to. My husband called and he was told we had to pay all 3 months at one time when the lady I spoke with took 1 month payment. This company needs to get their act together. The people we talked to said what was told to us before was not true. My husband and I both called and both were treated horrible. I do not recommend this company to anyone!!! This company tells you what you want to hear and then goes back on their word.

I am writing a this review because I am absolutely fed up with the insurance claims center GMFS contracts with. The insurance claims center gives out wrong and changing information every time you call and there is always a delay or new process they must complete before they can release your funds. Having your house flood and dealing with your insurance company is stressfull enough, but this insurance claims department is on a whole new level of [redacted]. Hopefully, we will never sustain a tragedy like we did this year, however, I will be refinancing with a new lending company as I can not deal with the insurance claims center again.

I was affected by the floods in Louisiana in August 2016. GMFS called me numerous times to asking me to defer my loan and telling me that the payments would be added to the end of the loan. After the 3 months I was told that I owed the balance of the 3 months or I could re-modify my loan. I provided them with my banking information, but they took the funds from another account I had on file. That account was overdrafted because the payment was not authorized for that account. I will never use this company again and I will tell everyone I know to never use them. They have shady business practices and are not to be trusted.

Telefund, Inc claimed to be an organization I know. They asked if I wanted to donate, and I gave my credit card information. They sounded like they were the organization, they knew I donated to them and about the issues that the organization addresses. They called me from (213) 487-9500. Don't give personal information (like your credit card info) over the phone unless you know who it is (even if they sound like an organization you know).

Review: Dear Revdex.com,For the past week, I've been receiving phone calls from Telefund. These calls are coming almost every day, and sometimes, 2 or 3 times a days. I've called this number back and never talked to a person. I've left messages asking not to be contacted. I went online recently and discovered I'm not the only person who has received these harassing phone calls. I tracked down the number to Telefund's office in order to remove my name from their call list. After choosing the option to remove my name, so I won't continued to be harassed, the mailbox they sent me to was full and wouldn't accept messages. This is unacceptable. I'm on the National Do Not Call List. I've made an honest attempt to get these people to leave me alone and it is hasn't worked thus far. At this point, I should not be still trying to figure out how not to have these people harass me. Please follow up on this complaint.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation) Please get them to stop calling me and they should probably be made to create a system in which people can easily get their names removed from their call list.

Review: Telefund of Santa Barbara California has repeatedly made phone calls to my home residence even though I had ask them to take me off their calling and mailing lists. I informed the telemarketer that I am on the Florida State and National no junk 4th class mail and no nuisance telemarketers are not supposed to be calling my home Phone number.Desired Settlement: I need Telefund to take me of their mail and phone calling list from now on.
