Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Sincerely,*** *** The Washington State Landlord Tenant Act requires thatlandlords give tenants hours’ notice beforeentering the property, or hours’ notice if they are showing the property toa prospective new tenantor buyer, except in the case of emergencyThe written notice must specifyexact dates and time forentry, or specify a time period, listing the earliest and latest possible timesfor entry on designateddatesThe notice must contain a telephone number for me to reach you in orderto object or reschedulethe entry. The law also states that landlords may not abuse their right of access or useit to harass tenants, and thatthey may only enter at reasonable times.I was not given proper notice of landlord entry or work being done outside ofbuilding. I just don't make complaints out of boredomIknow for a fact myself I did not receive any notice in regardsto siding replacementNor any of my neighbors next to me or belowme. I will be reporting property management and owner to thetenants union to get my point across that it is not okay in anyways to dorepairs to a property without proper notice!!
I am not sure how to resolve this. Notifications have been going out, the siding project has been completed and painting will be the next process. According to our maintenance person there was permission to enter. We will be giving hour notices of entry when maintenance items are requested. Resident stated in an email there she was sorry the relationship started out on the wrong foot and indicated they wanted to sign a new lease if certain things were in place
There is no doubt that residing a building will cause issues. We worked hard to minimize them. Notices were sent out to all residents and *** was able to speak via phone with of the residents, was vacant at the time. We are in agreement that 7:a.mwas too early and have
had the contractor modify their hours
