The air bubbles she was referring to was due to the fibers from her inner weather stripping, coming off. These fibers were in all of her windows, and I had mentioned to her that because it is part of her car, it was hard to guarantee there won't be any in the film.
As far as ruining her door seal,...
the tool used to make sure the tint tucks inside the seal with out peeling, is less than 5 millimeters thick. Approximately 5-8 sheets of paper thick, and it's a hard plastic.
In regards to her going to another company for work. The window that the trim was having trouble, was removed because the tint needed to be fixed. She wanted to go to the dealership to see if they would warranty the trim failure. To help her out with that,I removed the passenger window so they wouldn't question the work causing it. After seeing the dealership, she was suppose to come back and have those two windows redone. I was under the impression that it happens naturally, according to what she told me the dealership said, and that they wouldn't fix it under warranty. A 1.5 to 2 months went by not hearing anything from her, and she comes in stating that she had her windows redone by another location. That right there would be the first reason her warranty was voided. Being fair, I am always willing to reimburse my customers if they can get a better job done elsewhere, but I do reserve the right to inspect their work like the customer did mine. In the drivers window alone, was more debris in the tint than the whole job I did prior. In order to get your refund in full, the tint job by the competitor has to be cleaner than the job previously done. With all of that being said, I told her when the tint job is better than the one I provided her, I would fully refund her money. She never returned.
When this issue went public, there were several Scion tC owners that came forward and mentioned that the fibers from the weather stripping come off with general wear and tear, without tinted windows. I have been in this field since 1993 and have never had a problem with the work I do, damaging property of any kind. I feel bad about the issues of concern, but in no way do I believe I caused any damage to her car.
Tinting your windows today, and having them redone tomorrow by another shop because you are not happy with the work, is not covered by any type of warranty and is not grounds for any kind of refund.
If needed I have video of exact procedure of tinting the drivers window of a Scion tC.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: he knew my windows needed to be redone for the third time. He said for himself they will need to be redone. So I went else where to get my window tint redone since my inner door seal had been ruined and needed to be replaced in addition to the window tint needing to be replaced. This was all said before going to the dealership or before going looking for another company to do my window tint.Sincerely,[redacted]
