Review: I received two shipped speakers yesterday, the Technical Pro POWER8USB ABS Molded 8" Two Way Active Loudspeakers.

As far as I can tell, one of the two is defective. If this problem can be fixed at home, I'd love to know, but there's no support info on Technical Pro's website or in their delivered materials. In fact, delivered materials have NO instructions or warnings on how to use them or how to mount them with the included brackets. The only materials included in the box were a small catalog of their products and an appalling limited warranty. My first complaint is that their warranty holds me accountable for potentially misusing the product without instructions included in the packaging or online for how to use it or perform my own troubleshooting.

I thought of returning the defective speaker, but Technical Pro's shipped warranty says: To obtain service please pack the unit carefully and send it prepaid by insured parcel or UPS to Technical Pro Inc at the address listed below.... Additionally, include at $29.00 check to cover handling and return shipping. There's no phone number here either in case I wanted to speak to one of their technicians before spending an approximately $60 on shipping for $170 speakers.

Finally, the last wall I hit is their customer relations dept., who I'd like to have contacted to address all this. They can be only reached by P.O. box—no phone number, no email address.Desired Settlement: With no refund policy and their limited warranty on return and repair, I would have to spend almost $60 to receive a speaker that should have worked and should have been packed with information on how to use it.

I'm requesting a replacement of the speakers and a refund on all shipping costs.
