I recently purchased a Toshiba C55-A PC and attempted to contact the technical support because I heard my computer make a strange sound and the screen would periodically blur up...
and I came across this company. I initially wanted to call the place I purchased the electronic from but they told me it was out of their hands after the purchase was made. The support group charged me $199.99 to rid my computer of "Trojan horses", install windows defender, and to be my personal attendant whenever I had any other issue. They said my computer had been invaded and was in serious risk of failure. I granted them access to my computer by putting the code they gave me over the phone into [redacted] then after they "clean swept" my PC they typed a letter to themselves stating that the issue had been resolved as I watched them while on the phone do so. As of today my computer still contains the same issue at times I will watch a video a nd the glitch will manifest. I can supply the email they created and all other emails that were sent upon request. Today I also received a phone call from my banker that an unauthorized transaction was flagged on my account from an airline, catar merchant and it appeared to be from overseas. The gentlemen I spoke with on the phone also had non-American accents.
Review: I came across this support group after purchasing a new Toshiba PC and ran into a problem. It was my endeavor to locate the makers of my PC to possibly resolve my issue and they confirmed my purchase after gathering the serial number that I provided. After doing this the tech support person warned me that my PC was in danger of Trojan horses and that $199.99 would allow him ([redacted]) to go in and remove it by adding windows defender. I am just uneasy handling business over the internet and want to verify that I have made the right decision by accepting to pay them to resolve my issue. At this point there is still an issue with my PC.Desired Settlement: If in fact this is a faulty technical support group I would like to be reimbursed the amount that I paid them. There is really no way to know if they are legit or not so I had Neil forward me an email to confirm that they were. Which I can supply upon request. He attached my 1 yr warranty that I agreed to. Im seeking a peace of mind about the ordeal. He said in all his x-amount of years working he has never had such a question. HELP!
