Student Resources USA contacted me about continuing my education about two years ago. ***" from the company who was guiding me through the process of applying to *** in order to work towards a second Master's Degree in "English Language Learning and Teaching" which would ultimately get me an ***. I was told that I did not need to contact the state as *** "all of the time" and knows that the courses meet the state requirements. I completed the Master's Degree with a GPA of 4.0, spent over $20,000 and now I find out that *** does NOT offer a degree/courses that meet NYS requirements for the ESOL license. This degree took me two years to complete and now it is for nothing. This company has falsely led me to believe that I would be receiving an additional teaching license once I completed the degree and yet I am now in debt of over $20,000 without the ability to retrieve this license. The employees at Student Resource USA do not know what they are talking about and yet they are falsely advertising their expertise in setting teachers up with continued education. This company should not be allowed to work and guide anyone looking to continue their education if they do not know the state requirements for that particular student. It should be their job to attain these before giving ANY direction/guidance to the prospective student. I was supposed to work as an ENL teaching this fall, so now I am out all of this money but my career has also been negatively affected by the ignorance of this company.
