I recently purchased a vehicle From TARCUS MOTOR COMPANY. the car was totaled in Washington state and re-titled in Oregon to clean the title. car lasted a Whole 24 hours before timing belt skipped and bent valves. car was finanaced through a credit union under the assumption the vehicle had a clean and clear title.
hello ***,
we gave the customer 3 different options to resolve the issue.
1. return the car in the condition he left with it in and we would refund him his purchase price
2. we would pay to have it fixed
3. we would give him $1000 back to have it repaired at a shop of his choosing
he denied all three of these options and continued to be disrespectful and very offensive.
we hold a clean Oregon title for this vehicle..... we tried to rectify the situation and the customer just didn't want to agree to any of the terms, which were more then generous and all three would have resolved the issue.
we have copies of all the conversations between the customers and ourselves.
we have always put the trust of our customers above all else. when they are dissatisfied for a valid reason we take resolving that issue whenever possible very seriously.
even when the cause of the issue was neglect on the part of the customer to cause the issue. we still went above and beyond to solve the problem...
thank you for your time if you have any more questions please feel free to contact us at anytime..
sincerely,
tarcus motor company

I am rejecting this response because:
it was impossible to return the vehicle in which I received it due to the timing belt snapping not even 24 hours later.
they did offer a tow truck service to come pick up the car and have it assessed which I refused because I am mechanically inclined and to which I told them I would diagnose the vehicle myself. They had no issue with that.
I later tore the vehicle apart to find and assess all damage. All intake valves and 4 exhaust valves were bent from the timing belt jumping time. I then got in touch with them and told them the extent of the damage and what it was gonna cost to have the vehicle repaired back to normal operating condition. They never said in text or on the phone the amount of money they would offer to help with. I in which told them the parts and everything would be around 2000$ and that doesn’t include labor. I told them I would be satisfied with getting 3000$ back and we would part ways and I would take care of it. To which they declined and laughed at me. I have since fixed the vehicle and in the mean time found out the car was a total loss in Washington state and was title washed and sold to me as a CLEAN title car. That’s illegal. they have the access to car fax to which they knew the history on the car. I didn’t have carfax or the time to carfax it myself. So here I am trying to get what I feel is right. This is by the way not the first time they have done this. I have contact info on another guy they did the same thing to.
Sincerely
