Review: Paid in advance for a kitchen renovation; over 1400 dollars.

Products (custom-made cabinets, etc. from [redacted]) were promised by Christmas of 2013.

Excuses were given that the factory was closed for two weeks during December of 2013.

Products were again promised for delivery in early June of 2014.

Products from another company were offered to us in November of 2014. It sounded like a bait and switch scenario, so we refused.

It is now February of 2015 and we have no cabinets.

Tarallo has refused to refund our money, even though they have failed to deliver the product contracted for.Desired Settlement: 14 months after delivery was promised we have lost our contractor.

We would like our money refunded so that we can try another way to get our kitchen renovated.

Review: To Whom It May Concern:

We are writing this letter to explain why we are disputing the charges of $7,926 from Tarallo Kitchen and Bath. We moved into our home with our two young children in September 2014 and we visited the Tarallo showroom shortly thereafter to find kitchen cabinets, a pantry, and side panels for our refrigerator. On October *, 2014 we placed an order for said items with a representative named Shy, who informed us that our kitchen would be measured the following Monday. We were told that we had to leave a 50% deposit to place our order, which we put on our [redacted] credit card that day. Shy did come to measure on October [redacted], and we completed the paperwork that she said would ensure that our order would be placed the following day. We were told that our new kitchen would be delivered within three to four weeks. She also told us that the company usually had everything ready within three weeks, and we spoke about how wonderful it would be that our family could have our first Thanksgiving in our new kitchen.

After several unreturned phone calls to check on the status of our order, we finally received a phone call on November [redacted] informing us that the order had not been placed until October [redacted], nearly four weeks after we had filled out the paperwork to place the order and almost seven weeks after we had given our deposit. We were told that it would be ready in early December because Shy had been out of the office for three weeks and had never placed the order. We have a time-stamped, recorded conversation with Shy in which she states that she has no idea why the order sat on her desk for several weeks without being processed. We were truly heartbroken because we had relatives coming from Georgia to spend our first Thanksgiving in our new home with us, and we had to ask other family members to host the holiday.

The cabinets were finally delivered on Thursday, December [redacted] at which point we had to pay the remaining balance. Unfortunately, we paid by check because when we unpacked all of the boxes we discovered that the cabinets were badly damaged. The doors and side panels were all either gouged, deeply scratched, discolored, and/or peeling. There were bubbles in the surfaces of nearly every door. We spoke to Scott at Tarallo and he told us to have our contractor install the cabinets; he stated that he would then resolve any and all issues immediately. We have this conversation and all subsequent conversations recorded with time stamps, and in these recordings we have the representatives from Tarallo acknowledging that they are aware that all of our conversations are being recorded because they have failed to follow through on their promises. We also have time-stamped photographs to document all of the damaged cabinets and panels as well as the pantry.

Scott from Tarallo and a representative from the manufacturer came to our home for their first visit on December [redacted]. It was at this time that we were promised all new doors, a pantry, and panels. We realized that we would not be able to host Christmas in our new home, and that night our entire family was in tears. We had planned to have 18 family members over to spend the holidays with us, and this was a tremendous disappointment for all of us.

On December [redacted], we spoke to Anthony T[redacted], the owner of the business. We have him on tape saying that we are “two weeks from being done.” This was a promise that he certainly did not keep.

We did not receive any replacement doors or panels until January [redacted], 2015. Juan from the manufacturer’s company came with new doors and panels, only to discover that they had ALL been stained the wrong color. We have pictures to document this, and at this time we requested that the company remove all of the cabinets et al. and refund our money. They promised yet again that they would remedy the situation, and yet another order for a replacement pantry, doors, and side panels was placed.

One week later, a driver arrived unannounced and by himself, and attempted to deliver two new side panels and a new pantry. I had to help him carry all of the pieces inside because he could not do it by himself. Upon examining the side panels and the pantry, we discovered that ALL three were badly damaged. The driver noted this on the delivery slip but initially refused to take them with him because he “had other deliveries to make.” We spoke to Anthony from Tarallo and the driver was instructed to pick up the damaged goods after he had made his last delivery.

On February [redacted] , we texted Scott to find out where the new material was. We sent texts every few days with no response. By April [redacted] , we had sent seventeen straight texts without any responses. On Monday, April [redacted], after several weeks of being ignored, we drove to Tarallo with our two children and spoke to Shy, Anthony, and Anthony’s mother Katherine. They were extremely rude and lied several times during the conversation. When asked if they believed that we should be compensated for the six months that we had already endured without a kitchen, Katherine replied, “Absolutely not.” We left the store visibly distraught; the boys were close to tears and my wife was sobbing. Katherine followed us out to our car and repeated several times, “Relax. We’ll take care of this somehow.”

On Monday, April [redacted], a new set of doors were delivered with side panels and a pantry. Again, EVERY piece was damaged and completely unacceptable. On April [redacted], we sent Scott at Tarallo several pictures that clearly showed the damage because he stated that he could not believe that they were “so bad”. In May, we contacted an attorney at our own expense. Tarallo received a letter from said attorney on May [redacted], giving them ten days to respond to our letter addressing our request for reimbursement for all of the damaged goods that had been delivered to us. Tarallo did not have the professional courtesy or respect to respond to our attorney’s correspondence.

Finally, last week, Scott and a representative from the manufacturer came to see the damaged pieces. They agreed that the kitchen is completely unacceptable in its current condition, yet they have offered us no reasonable solution to remedy this situation. We have this conversation, as well as multiple conversations in which the company acknowledges that the goods and services that they have rendered are thoroughly unacceptable, on tape. Numerous times we have pleaded with the company to remove their cabinets and pantry from our home and to refund our money, but they have repeatedly refused to do so.

We have definitely reached our breaking point. Our two boys have not had a decent home-cooked meal in their own house in nearly a year now. Our food expenses have been exorbitant because we have been ordering take-out on a daily basis. This is causing such strife within our family, and we have no choice but to move forward and start from scratch with a different company. We can not continue to let Tarallo ignore our phone calls and texts for weeks, only to then deliver us damaged goods time and time again. They have made it clear that they do not care about our business and they certainly do not care about the pain and suffering that they are causing our family. Please help us get back what we are rightfully owed from this dishonest, deplorable company.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

[redacted] & [redacted]Desired Settlement: refund of $7,926 for cost of cabinets

refund of $2,400 for labor

refund of $170 for lawyer and court fees

Total refund of $10,496

Review: I ordered kitchen cabinets and countertops from Tarallo Kitchen in October of 2014. The total bill came to $12,791.70. We paid half upon finalizing the contract. The cabinets were delivered according to schedule and everything was fine with the order - except for the fact that we were billed extra for the soft-close doors when they were already on the invoice. We paid the remaining balance upon delivery of the cabinets, but the countertops hadn't yet arrived. The problem has been with the countertops. We had the cabinets measured on December [redacted] and were assured that the countertops would be delivered in 2-3 weeks max. At the end of 2014 the countertops had not yet arrived. Starting in January we began calling every week to ask for an update on the countertop delivery. We were dealing with a different representative at that point who was one of the principals of the business. He rarely returned calls. Towards the end of January we went to the showroom to speak to him in person and he assured us that the countertops would be ready in a week or so. We kept calling each week and usually did not have our calls returned. On [redacted], February [redacted], I called and told him I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund because I had lost faith that they could deliver on their promise. He assured me that it would be within a week or two and promised to call me on [redacted], February [redacted] with an update on the status of the order. As of [redacted], February **, he has still not contacted me. It has now been 9 weeks since we ordered (and paid for) the countertops and there has been no communication from the company as to the statuDesired Settlement: I would like a refund for the amount that we paid for the countertops ($2650), the sink ($130), the strainer ($20) and the double billing for the soft close cabinet doors ($300). The total comes to $3,100, with an additional $275.13 for taxes, for a grand total of $3,375.

Review: Business has failed to deliver and install kitchen granite countertop with sink, as contractually agreed upon since 7/**/2015. Payment was made in full, on the above date.

Numerous phone calls were made to the business which in turn only elicited apologies about lateness and new dates for delivery and installation. The last delivery date was set for 9/**/15.

Tarallo distributors I discovered, when I went in person to their location has been closed by the IRS since 9/**/2015, due to non payment of taxes.

How can I recover my money or get the already payed for services?Desired Settlement: Recovery of money or services already paid for.

Review: I purchased cabinets from Tarallo Kitchen Source on 6/**/15. The cabinets arrived on 8/**/15 and were installed by my building contractor on 8/**/15. The counter tops and sink was supposed to be measured within a week. It was measured two weeks later 8/**/15. As of September *, I still don't have counter tops and no running water in my kitchen. I've called several times asking why is this process taking so long. I have to use water from the kitchen to cook. In addition, I'm forced to use my tub to wash food and clean dishes. I suffer from Carpal Tunnel and Arthritis which make these tasks impossible. My 85 year old father who resides with me is also affected by this disservice. I haven't been eating and sleeping due to this physical and mental hardship. My carpal tunnel and arthritis are more inflamed now because of this lack of service. I'm depressed as I feel this situation is unresolvable.Desired Settlement: I would like for my kitchen to be complete as soon as possible with a working sink and counter tops. I would also like a partial refund for my mental anguish, pain and suffering from my medical ailments and discomfort.

Review: Ordered kitchen cabinets over 14 weeks ago ! Tarallo refused to give us a delivery date when questioned after many unreturned phone calls. Called Kraftmaid the cabinet manufacturer they said their companies motto is "FOUR TO THE DOOR" with regard to delivery of product once the order is released (meaning deposit is paid by Tarallo ) and their records show no release to date!!!!!! Tarallo has refused to refund my 12,000 dollar deposit via my credit card Visa.Desired Settlement: Full refund and apology . Prevent other consumers the nightmare of dealing with Tarallo Kichens !!!!!!!!!

Review: In June of 2015, My wife Andrea and I, made a down payment (approx. $13,000.00 ) with Tarallo Kitchen & Bath for kitchen cabinet and counter-top installation. It was supposed to be a six (6) week turnaround time. Instead it has been months now and they won't give us any information as to the status of the order. They won't tell us if our order was put in for fabrication, if it is being fabricated, or estimated time of installation. We have been to their place of business numerous times and they keep telling us they are working on it, they don't have any information or someone will get back to us with information which they never do. We are not sure what is going on internally, but we are afraid that we might loose the money we paid down and have gotten no service for.Desired Settlement: To have our entire deposit refunded.

Review: I ordered kitchen cabinets & counters from Tarallo in November 2014 with a promised delivery date of 12-14 weeks. I paid $17,000 in deposit. It is now June 2015, and I have nothing from Tarallo. Calls are not returned, false promises are made in person, and they also demanded another $17,000 in order to confirm delivery. We are extremely stressed and financially burdened by this, and we have no kitchen.Desired Settlement: Tarallo needs to deliver our kitchen cabinets and counters immediately, or refund us our $17,0000.

Review: I purchased kitchen cabinets on 10/**/13. Paid $6569.18, cabinets were delivered 11/*/13, upon installation all doors were cracked and warped. Company changed them 3 months later and again they were cracked and warped. I been waiting over a year with many excuses from Anthony T[redacted] that the manufacturer is not delivering merchandise. This company has already been on channel 7 news from another person who has been cheated out of their money. This company needs to be stopped from taking people's money.Desired Settlement: Refund or replacement.

Review: Purchased ktichen countertop and cabinets from Tarallo in January 2015. Cabinets were delivered, and they measured for countertops on June *, 2015, telling us delivery would be in 2-3 weeks. Review: On or about early October 2014, we purchased nearly $15,000 of merchandise from this merchant. We did not do installments or anything, gave them my credit card and said charge given we were eager to get our delivery as soon as possible, so I thought!

Tarallo has been a nightmare merchant that lacks ethics, professionalism and courtesy to it's consumers. They made a mistake with my order and I was due a credit for $429 per [redacted], our salesman, who had me pull teeth despite them being in the wrong (I have I never got the credit until they finally delivered our cabinets in full after countless defects (months later-February 2015). When I spoke with [redacted] from their Tarallo's [redacted], she claims that there financial systems was not aligned with their latest software program to process refunds immediately. I said to her that is unacceptable because your credit charging machine worked just fine when it was time to take $14,897 from my [redacted], so the same courtesy should be afforded to your consumers with another credit option to ensure timeliness just as you want payment for your goods (I still have a voice message from [redacted] with her trying to justify Tarallo's negligence and mistakes).

Fast forward to upon receipt of delivery for our marble counter tops in January 2015, which remember I paid for back in October 2014 , Tarallo's sub-contractor sent a couple of their unqualified installers to insert the counter-top and they in the process destroyed our Danby beverage center (I have a copy of invoice as proof of purchase and follow-up authorized visit by the manufacturer) who noticed the unusual damage and ask what was put on top of the beverage center? He was very insistent that the beverage center was not meant to be used as a table-top or surface for other objects given it was designed to custom fit underneath our counter tops.

Tarallo's subcontractor actually SAWED-OFF MARBLE COUNTER TOPS ON TOP OF OUR BEVERAGE CENTER AS A CUTTING BOARD AND DAMAGE THE BEVERAGE CENTER! I took pictures and forwarded to [redacted] and [redacted] who assured me this would be resolved that in good faith they would get the sub-contractor to replace the beverage center (I have a voice message from [redacted] on January **, 2015 at 1:17p.m. corroborating my previous statement about the replacement. There's only one problem, [redacted], [redacted] (co-owner) or their sub-contractor, never honored replacing our damaged beverage center. I called and emailed [redacted] numerous times and one point, he stood me after promising to meet and never called me back, which pathetic! I had even originally agreed to a partial payment at the time had they honored their commitment but they did not which ultimately resulted in me having to get a new beverage center given the one Tarallo's sub-contractor damaged.

Given the prelude, I called [redacted] to immediately dispute the amount I paid for my beverage center $922.25 be charged back to Tarallo's given our expense incurred as a result of their negligence and sub-contractor damaging our property. Instead, Tarallo ([redacted].) and [redacted] claim to [redacted] they never had a conversation with me about this matter, which is a blatant lie as I have all their voice messages attempting to address and resolve this matter in addition to our missing cabinets as follows; (so I welcome you hearing them)
