Incomplete repair, AC isn't fixed and additional cost estimates to repair parts that aren't broken.
$1,125 dollars later my AC still blows out hot air on the passenger side at random, and I'm being quoted to pay an additional $380 for a new motor + labor to have THAT fixed too. What about the $630 in labor we paid previously? This IS touted as a "Honda Specialist" location so why or how was this problem not found the first time in the 6+ hours we left the car with them?? I went to Tao to have hot air blowing out from my vents, fixed. Thats it. I never had problems with the force of air blowing out. But was told my fan assembly had to be changed out, because it wasn't turning on the drivers side. I played "Mr. Ignorant" while the guy tells me ALL THE THINGS wrong with a relay chip ($33), an AC hose hole ($98), radiator fan assembly ($222), drivers side cooling fan motor ($157), an AC discharge hose for $210, and on, and on and on. I felt myself getting raked over the coals. But I think the most disrespectful part was to insult my intelligence about the "crackling" sound we hear from the mechanical AC control arms when he told me and my wife upon picking up the vehicle: "that shouldn't be a problem anymore" and it wasn't, for 2 days after - until it was again the following Monday. And when I call back today, he says "I never said that". You know, I was looking to support local businesses during a pandemic, and even had every intent to bring my other 2007 Honda Accord here to give them additional business and have them fix the AC in that vehicle as well, but after thinking it over and seeing what I was charged for a problem not fully fixed or found the first $1,125 spent, I think we'll go elsewhere. I realy tried to be remain amicable and open minded. I hate feeling like I was just ripped off for my lack of car knowledge.
I don't want money or apologies. I want the job I already paid $1100+ bucks for, finished. I had pieces replaced that weren't a problem to begin with in my AC only to find that my AC still blows out hot air and now they want more money for more imaginary issues.
