Tantopia

Review: I was a member at Tantopia of [redacted]. I cancelled my membership at the end of August by telephone and spoke to [redacted]. When I told her I needed to cancel my membership she told me that she could cancel it but when I got a chance I just needed to come in and sign a paper. I got my bank statement on 9/10/13 and on 9/5/2013 I was charged by Tantopia for my monthly memebership. When I called Tantopia I again spoke to [redacted] who said "oh you have to come in and sign the paper to have it cancelled". This was different that what I was told the first time. The reason I cancelled my membership is because I am not in the area that much anymore. There is a sign in the store that says you have to cancel your membership by the end of the month or you will be charged for the next month. Nowhere on the sign does it say you need to sign a paper. I have disputed the charges with my credit card and I have also written a letter to tantopia about this issue. Tantopia has not responded to my letter. I am asking them to refund the charge for this month and to send me the paper I need to sign.Desired Settlement: Refund my charge for the month

Review: I cancelled my account in August. It's November they just randomly hit my credit card for $43.99 for no reason. I called over and the mrg I spoke to said it's because my credit card information was not removed from the system. She said they could send me $28 back but I had a balance of $15 owed. I informed her that was incorrect because she had charged me twice in August as it was. She said that was all she could do was give me $28 back. She had no authorization to hit my account. My account was cancelled in August. I have not been charged anything since august they had no right to hit my account or keep my credit card information on file.Desired Settlement: $43.99
