Paid more than double this individual's bid a few years ago (and over 4 times what I did pay then, which turned out to be better) because I need help now and wanted a true 'professional' to do it right for the long haul. The leaks were not fixed, in spite of being assured they were, my concerns covered by Written guarantee. The written warranty not honored. They did things I did not ask for that have caused bigger problems (i.e. covering the main drain with a wall of rock where fish pass throughs were supposed to be, and making it impossible to get to, clean or fix the drain - where we discussed the #1 leak might be- without undoing everything ). He cut into the rubber lining(!) saying he had to and that it would be no problem!.
Other parts of the job were not completed either, like the upper waterfall (one of the main reasons I opted for 'professional'), roots I can no longer comfortably get to myself were left along with stones we'd agreed he would remove to clean, etc. Much of that would have been ok a couple days in to have them gone, as they started complaining about others, then my pond, then changing facts ... They also broke fence pieces, flooded and broke an overhead lighting system when they began pressure washing, apparently without picking anything up, etc.
Jeff told me I was wrong about where the leaks were, And to trust him. He had me get parts for the filter he later said were not the issue, that could not be returned by the time he finally did come back.

He/they did not fix the leaking in spite of assuring me they had. Mr M. finally put a very clear guarantee in writing, with a "promise to come back and fix anything that goes wrong" when he and his assistant were in my home pushing for immediate, Friday afternoon payment (when I wanted to wait until Monday). How could I make him wait? How could I not pay him the rest now (after already getting partial payment early because he was 'in such need helping out his helper' )...
Yet he lied & used pics on FB.
