I came to AD because after a billing dispute with another office I was assured Avalon Dental would always communicate charges clearly and ensure we were on the same page. Well all was pretty well for a few years until I was pushed onto Dr. [redacted] (not sure of her experience level) with no prior notification. Pretty well from day 1 I found the doctor was causing more pain than I was accustomed to and when I brought my daughter in the prognosis was so extensive (on a first visit) that I sought a 2nd opinion which refuted Dr. [redacted]'s findings. I still visited for my own care until after an agreed upon filling was done, using unagreed upon materials that 1. cost me more because not covered by my insurance 2. did an ineffective job to fill the gap 3. Caused unwarranted levels of pain during the procedure and 4. did an ineffective job in reducing tooth sensitivity. I have since seen another dentist who was heavily critical of Dr. [redacted]'s work.
