I was referred to Talavera Remodeling, who previously worked for Larry. I wish I had met Larry at the early stages of my remodeling. His crew did an outstanding job beyond my expectations. Talavera Remodeling is one stop shop to a stress free remodeling. Larry is always on the job site, great communication, very professional. everything is written in contract. He required a deposit first day of work, pay the rest when the job is done. The quality of his work is outstanding. I had ordered the wrong window for one of my bedrooms, he came back a week later without questions asked. He went as far as visiting the factory where I order my windows to make sure he understood how to install it properly. Larry is of integrity.
Thank you Larry Mack and the Entire Crew/Subcontractors from the bottom of my heart for rebuilding my home after the fire.
All of them went above and beyond in demo, remediation and rebuilding my home on time and within budget. Not only was Larry Mack always available whenever I needed him, but he negotiated and dealt with my lender(s), the insurance company and others (the issues of which I can never fully appreciate as Larry simply solved problems without causing me any additional stress).
The ease with which Larry Mack helped me select beautiful cabinetry, granite, woods, windows, etc., as well as consulting me about the layout, design plus all of the extras, not to mention the high quality of work done by you and your subcontractors - I am lucky.
I lost most of my cherished possessions that day…things I can never replace. I was (and still am) devastated! Not only did Larry Mack and his subcontractors exceed my expectations, but all businesses, especially home building contractors, should try to emulate the excellent service that they provided to me.
While the experience still breaks my heart, I love the house. Larry you are a great friend. I will recommend you/Talavera to everyone I know and I hope that one day we can work together again!
Larry M[redacted] has completed remodeling work on our home in [redacted] for over 7 years. He has completed a full kitchen remodel, room addition, bathroom remodel, painting, a large office built cabinets and many other projects. His work has been perfect. Any normal issues that have arisen on work being done in our home has been promptly addressed and rectified to our complete satisfaction. He is professional, friendly and trustworthy. You will not be disappointed with this company.
Talavera Custom LLC - We moved in 5 years ago and had new granite installed in the kitchen. Recently we struggled trying to figure out how to change the Maple cabinets without touching the granite. [redacted] came out listened to our ideas and came up with options. His team installed a combination of new Cherry and refinished cabinets on time and within budget. They were here when they said they would be and the workmanship was excellent. The best review would be to say we are hiring them to install two large new sliding doors with transoms.
Larry M[redacted] and his team recently completed a remodel in my condo. I lived in my condo while the work was going on, and the team made it very comfortable for me to be there throughout the process. All rooms were painted, new flooring was laid throughout, and new counters and custom-made cabinets were installed in my kitchen and bathrooms. The workmanship is exquisite, and I am thrilled with everything. This whole process was amazing. If I ever need any other projects done, I would call Larry in a heartbeat.
We just finish a whole home renovation. It was a wonderful experience working with Larry Mack and his crew, Lacho and Juan. Larry worked with us every inch of the way. When we ran into problems he went out of his way to help us solve them. He has excellent ideas and taste, helping us pick the right tile, custom cabinets etc. He also personally put in special touches that complimented our decor. Lacho and Juan did excellent finishing work as well as demolition in the beginning. Larry's choice of electrician, plumber and painter was also well done.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
for: Larry Mack, of Talavera Custom 480-393-6224

To whom it may concern:
It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation on behalf of Larry Mack. Larry was the general contractor for a remodeling project on the interior of my house.
I had no prior relationship with Larry prior to the commencement of this project. The scope of the remodeling involved 3 bathrooms stripped to the wood studs, building of custom cabinets, new flooring, sheet rock repair, painting, installation of new sliding glass door, front door and the installation of ceiling fans for a 2 level home built in 1991.
While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Larry’s services as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Larry top marks in the following areas:
1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. Larry used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications, and their work product rarely needed improvement or revision.
2. Quality of work crews. The workmen whom Larry utilized were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of the homeowner’s property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was evident. They tidied up at the end of each workday. I also found them to be trustworthy, and I felt comfortable with allowing them access inside my home.
3. Project management and coordination. Larry’s prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to manage the details of the project without missing a beat.
4. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the project, I was impressed with Larry’s
commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. When situations arose where extra work needed to be done (because of hidden problems that were not apparent until work on the house had commenced), Larry either (if it was relatively minor) took care of it without charging me extra, or (if it was more extensive) involved me in an informed decision making process that culminated in a change order which was fair.
5. Effective communication. Larry kept me closely informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of our project. His communication (whether by cell phone or email) was always clear, informative, and helpful. He was either available on his cell phone, or returned my phone call within 1-2 hours. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the project. His communication with the work crews was just as effective.
6. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., mold behind cabinetry), Larry worked diligently with me to identify a solution that was acceptable to me.
7. Responsiveness to homeowner’s needs and concerns. Larry’s commitment to homeowner satisfaction was evident in his actions. On the few occasions when I brought a request or concern to his attention, he listened attentively, and always took appropriate action that demonstrated responsiveness to my needs or concerns. His service orientation is truly described by the motto: “The homeowner’s needs come first.”
8. Truth in advertising. In his proposal, Larry gave a clear breakdown of costs for each facet of the project. His contract was just as detailed in describing the work to be done and the itemized costs. Same with the change orders. When the project was completed, all the work was done as described and agreed upon, and there were no hidden costs, extra expenses or unpleasant surprises. As a homeowner and customer, I felt Larry delivered exactly what he had promised, at the agreed upon price.
9. Sensitivity to worksite appearance and neighbor relations. The work crew parked their vehicles in ways that were minimally disruptive to the neighborhood traffic, and their conduct never caused any discomfort to our neighbors.
In closing, I am very pleased with the final product which Larry was instrumental in delivering, and I am extremely impressed with his work as a general contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Larry is indeed a rare find. I have been a homeowner for over 30 years, and I took this unprecedented step of writing an unsolicited letter of recommendation for Larry because I believe that exceptional work should be
recognized. I would not hesitate to hire Larry again, or to recommend him to my friends and neighbors. I recommend Larry Mack to you most enthusiastically, and without any reservations.

A very satisfied homeowner
Working with Talavera on our home renovation was a positive experience. The workmanship was of high quality...met our expectations and was completed in a timely fashion.
Larry was easy to work with...listened to our needs...communicaton was great. His crew was courteous and hard working. We always knew when they would be to our home, what they would be working on, and how long they would be there.
We would highly reccomend them and would definitely call on them for future projects.
After 30+years of home ownership experience, Talavera Custom is the most conscientious, competent and creative crew we have ever worked with!
Based on an excellent kitchen remodel job they did for us a few years ago, we did not hesitate to call on Talavera Custom recently for the major overhaul of our master bathroom & closet and remodel of an upstairs bathroom. The timely communication, management of skilled workers and attention to detail was outstanding throughout the project and we could not be more pleased with the outcome of our beautiful updated bathrooms.
The contractor, [redacted], met with us several times to pre-plan--showing us samples, offering creative design ideas and solutions, discussing budget and answering all of our questions. He was always accessible and continued to oversee every aspect of the project with a hands-on approach including daily inspections of the job-site and follow-up. We appreciate the quality craftsmanship of cabinetmaker, [redacted], who enhanced our cabinet design plan and surpassed our expectations with precision detailing and added features.
Once the project began, we were impressed by the crew's meticulous workmanship and polite manner--starting with the preparation by covering and protecting all adjoining areas of the house and continuing through to the tidy demolition and skilled installation of electrical, plumbing, drywall, tile, hardware and carpentry--always leaving work areas as neat and clean as possible on a daily basis.
We are thrilled with the added value and pleasure our elegant new bathrooms give us and our home. We love sharing before & after photos with our friends. As owners of an older home, we are happy to know we have Talavera Custom to depend on for any future projects.
Our friends are always amazed when we tell them what an incredibly positive experience we had when [redacted] and his crews remodeled our house. With 35+ years of experience, [redacted]'s technical knowledge is extensive, his problem solving skills are well-honed, and his communication is exceptional. He always let us know what to expect. His crews showed up on time. They are respectful, considerate and talented.
[redacted] also has a wonderful design sense. He helped us make choices about everything from construction details, to paint colors, to fixtures, to how and when to save money. He was never pushy about his ideas; just offered his opinion, which we usually took. We always felt that he was looking out for our best interest.
We lived in the house during the remodel, and had the best possible experience. They cleaned up every afternoon before they left. They accommodated our presence in the house and respected our property. [redacted] communicated with us daily about the schedule and what to expect. If there was a problem or a mistake, he solved it quickly and let us know what was going to happen. We were never in the dark about what was going on, and we never had to chase him down to find out something.
[redacted] and crew remodeled our house from top to bottom - new kitchen, new bathrooms, new windows, all new flooring (hardwood, tile and carpet), new door hardware, removed popcorn ceilings, and completely repainted the interior. He accomplished all this in two months. We love our remodeled house and are so fortunate to have had [redacted] do it for us.
The work of [redacted], his crews, and his subs exceeded our expectations. The most surprising thing about working with [redacted] is that he always communicated with us about schedules and progress. We rarely get that from contractors doing small jobs.
We highly recommend [redacted] and [redacted] for their excellent construction skills as well as attentive and friendly customer service.
I have referred them to several friends who have also been thrilled with the work he has done for them.
A couple of years ago we had a slab leak and there need to be a lot of work done. Larry and his team did a fabulous job of restoring the area that was damaged in the slab leak. We upgraded to custom cabinetry and many people who have seen the cabinets have commented highly on the cabinets. A couple of years later I called Larry to have custom a cabinet and mirrors made for our guest bathroom (the cabinet is a little over 8 feet long). The cabinet and mirrors are beautiful. The install went smoothly and quickly. Next will be our master bathroom cabinet and then onto the kitchen. Larry can also make us wood screen doors, which I am looking forward too. Larry and his team are highly skilled with many years of experience. I would highly recommend them for remodeling and cabinetry.
Dealing with Talavera Custom an their owner Larry M[redacted] was a pleasure,I had to oversee a major remodel at my brothers house. The work performed on the house was excellent 3 bathrooms totally redone, all new flooring put in,cabinets and some ceiling cracks were repaired. Larry is very excellent in communicating with you his plans for each day's work.Larry is also very knowledgeable contractor and when we had some other major issues pop up with the house Larry recommended some other companies to come in assist with the work on the house.Larry and his workers treated Myself and Mother with the utmost respect and I thank you for that and even went above and beyond with some little extra work that needed to be done that was not even asked of him.I highly Recommend Talavera Custom,if you want the job done right this is the company to call.
We had a lot of minor interior repairs as well as a master bath that had been leaking badly for quite some time, which we figured would be a major remodel. We also wanted to raise our sunken living room, remove all the carpet and linoleum in the house and replace it with vinyl planks and porcelain tile. Larry and his crew were fantastic to work with. Initially, we shared our ideas with Larry and he came up with many good suggestions and a design we all liked. We already contacted a flooring company that we wished to do business with and, it just so happens, they were the ones to refer us to Talavera Custom. Both companies worked very well with each other and it was great to be able to count on Larry as our general to round everything up for us. He made our lives much simpler. Larry and his crew were always courteous, cleaned up at the end of each work day so it didn't even appear a construction crew had been here. They did A1 quality work for us. We are planning on remodeling the kitchen next year and Larry's already working on a plan for us. Thank you, Talavera Custom!!!
We contracted Talavera Custom after interviewing several contractors. They were by far the most professional and seemed eager to earn our business. In addition, they were the only contractor that told us they could remove a closet to accommodate a larger walk in spa shower...all others said it couldn't be done or it would cost so much it wouldn't be worthwhile.
[redacted] will give you many options and will work with your design needs.
Our bathroom turned out beyond our expectations, from the beautiful custom cabinets and quartz countertops, to the pebble floor in the spa shower....it's just an amazing transformation!
The subcontractors are professional and friendly and clean up after themselves as well.
We feel that we have found a contractor that does great work, always communicates well and finishes the project that we are more than happy with.
If you are looking for a experienced contractor that will work with your every need, contact them...I don't think you will be disappointed.
