Appointment for AC install estimate was scheduled - Sean arrived on time and offered professional expertise
I received other estimates - based on TAG's proposal I accepted their contract
Installation date scheduled - Technicians arrived on time and were meticulous
with the installation going above & beyond to make certain everything was perfect before they left
I highly recommend TAG to anyone looking for HVAC ServicesMy son has requested an estimate for AC also
TAG will not honor the warranty on a new furnace they installed 2 yrs ago. I called and they said "they have gone in a new direction" TAG installed new furnance 2 years ago. I have signed contract stating 10 year parts warranty. My furnace stopped working, I called tech out and they identified the problem as a faulty controlled board. I called TAG to request service/replacement, they responded they would need to look inot the warranty. They called back and said it was no longer under warranty. I read them the contract specifically stating the 10 yr warranty...she said she would have to check on it. Next day TAG called back and said they would no longer honor that warranty because "they have moved in a new direction"...the person couldn't explain what that meant...he told me to use my oil company to get the warranty part replaced. I told him my oil company had already informed my any warranty part replacement would have to be done by the installer (TAG). TAG rep told me he was "sorry but it's the new direction of the company, that he didn't agree w/ it, that it was bad customer service but nothing he could do" I asked for presidents contact ([redacted]), I left him a voicemail saying "going in a new direction is not an excuse to not honor signed contracts/warranties".Desired SettlementBecause time is of the essence now to get my heat working I will have to pay my oil company for a new part to replace the faulty one under warranty. [redacted] plus whatever the install costs will be plus the [redacted] fee they charge to just come out to the house. I think what TAG is doing is very wrong, they seemed reputable 2 yrs ago when I decided to use them.Business Response We are in in touch with the homeowner and will resolve the situation to his satisfaction.
