When I called they told me that they were a local companyThey were here less than one hour and replaced an outside faucetThey were going to charge me $350.00! I told him it was way too much money and he said he would give me a discountThey charged me $I could hardly believe the priceI was without water so I paid by credit card but felt very ripped off
I looked on your site and shows other Benjamin Franklin Plumbing businesses in other statesI feel that I was misrepresented
My husband and I purchased a Kohler toilet from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in April of 2010. We also paid for installation & purchased the 5 year parts & labor warranty. We have been very satisfied until yesterday when the piston broke on the inside of the cup/cylinder. We called to set-up a service call, and were very dismayed to find out that this may, or may not be covered under the warranty. If it was not covered, the plumber could take the $59.95 service charge off of our bill. I found this to be very ambiguous. "How could this NOT be covered if we have the warranty?" I asked. And the service rep [redacted]) said that she had to say that, according to her job. My husband looked on the internet and discovered that this is an $8 part. Also, the Kohler warranty is for 10 years. The whole reason why we chose to have Benjamin Franklin install & supply our toilet is because of their A+ rating with the Revdex.com.
The toilet itself actually retailed for $300, and we paid $700 for everything. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed in an A+ company and will never recommend this aforementioned company to any family, friend, neighbor, or colleague.
