We checked in to a motel Looked at the room It was tiny, there was a wet spot on the bed and just not worth it We decided that it was just not worth it to stay the night The lady at the front office would not give a refund when asked very nicely She said, "no, you took the key, you must pay." To which I responded, "how about a partial refund" understanding that we did take the key and went to the room, but did not use it She was firm on her "No" to the refund
I was never given a copy of the receipt for the charge, a fact that I didn't realize until I got home
