As businesses were closing down due to COVID-19 we were looking to purchase a fence. Syracuse fence provided an estimate. We provided a downpayment for the services. We never received a contract to sign prior or after giving the deposit. Our plans have changed due to COVID-19 and we inquired about receiving a refund. Unknown to us because we did not receive any documentation Syracuse Fence is saying they only provide refunds within 3 days of deposit. Given the nature of the COVID-19 situation we would never have provided a deposit if we had known that.
Received call from the business stating that the consumer put down a deposit in March and then the Covid-19 went into effect. We were closed and all phone calls to the business were forward to owner. We dd not receive a call within the timeframe of our policy. However, as a goodwill gesture, we will refund the consumer their deposit.
In September of 2019, Syracuse Fence installed a partial vinyl fence; by October 2019, the panels started falling out into my neighbor's yard. They came two times and put them back in, but still fell out. In 2019, I made six calls for repair service and at one call requested a full refund. The panels keep falling out. For 2020, (January 13th & 14th), I have made two calls to them and nothing; no one has come or they didn't even have the decency to call. It did snow that one week preventing them from coming that week, but I have no proof that they would have even come. Afterwards they have had plenty of nice workable days, but no one has come or even called. Syracuse Fence is unreliable and carries no responsibility for their work even though they claim 100 percent customer satisfaction on their website. The entire part of the fence they installed is defective, and they do not know how to correct the problem. This company does not communicate or cooperate with a customer.
Syracuse Fence will replace all existing slats on the area in question. We orderedlonger slats to correct the problem. We assessed the fence problem on January 28th,which at the time no one was home. We also called on Friday, February 7, 2020 andleft a message with the customer as to what we will do to correct the problem and also atime frame of 2-3 weeks after the materials have arrived to our location before we couldinstall the special slats needed. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that we are willing to give Syracuse Fence another opportunity to correct the problem. I would like to note that yes we received their telephone call on February 7, 2020. As far as January 28, 2020 goes, we were at home. No one came to the door and there was no call in advance that they were coming; we certainly would have answered the door. Hopefully, they will call in advance. Regards
I spent roughly 10-12K with this company. One of my gates couldn’t open due to uneven cement near garage so they flipped the gate to open inward. I called several times to have holes repaired or install a new gate and no one ever showed up. They told me if I ever need any pieces repaired to just call as there is a lifetime guarantee. So disappointed.
