report. The borrower provided the necessary information and did check the box which indicated that they granted us permission to obtain a credit report. Once permission was granted, we immediately sent a request to obtain a credit report. The reason we immediately request the credit report is so that we can provide the most accurate rate and fee quotes to the applicant while they are applying. Two weeks later, the borrower contacted us via e-mail to request that we remove the inquiry from her credit report. At that time, we provided her with a copy of the screen which shows that permission was granted and we informed her of our procedure and policy as to why we obtain credit reports prior to the final submission of the application. Ultimately, in order for us to meet her request we would need to provide inaccurate information to the credit bureaus, specifically that we did not request a credit report even though we did. Therefore, at this time we will not be able to provide this borrower with the resolution she is requesting.
