I have reached out to the customer and he just returned my call The recalls were completed prior to his purchase He does have some additional concerns that we are going to put him in a loaner vehicle while we check out his current vehicle There was some kind of disconnect in the phone as we did not receive any of his texts looking for additional assistance Customer seems satisfied with this resolution and I consider it closed
It is our policy that when a vehicle is scheduled for an appointment, or when one arrives at our dealership for service, that we run all Hyundai vehicles for campaigns and inform the customer of our findingsIf there are any campaigns on the vehicle and if the customer gives us the authorization we
perform the campaign repairs on the vehicle at no charge to the customerOn this vehicle in particular all the open campaigns were performed on the vehicle while it was at our facility, "the only open campaign that the vehicle had was for the cross member undercoating." Furthermore, Hyundai Motor America‘s (HMA’s) recorded indicated that the open campaign for the brakes light switch “which is in question,” was performed on 06/27/at 29,miles at another dealership Unfortunately, Hyundai customer service is only designed to help coordinate a customer’s visit to a Hyundai facility in order to have vehicle diagnosed by a Hyundai technicianThe vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the brakes, and rotors were worn, and that the right front brake caliper boot was tornAlso the technician indicated that abs hydraulic unit had a fault that was causing the abs light to come onBased upon the year and the miles on the vehicle (a with 142487,) we were unable to warranty any repairs on this vehicle of the vehicle *** ***Parts & Service DirectorSWOPE Hyundai
