Review: We purchased the Juneau Wood Complete Playset from this company on 2/28/11 for the price of $1099.00 (invoice attached). The play set was assembled as per the instructions in May 2011. It has been used regularly by small children in the warmer months April through October each year since then.The wood on the play set appears to be very dry and prone to cracking. The vinyl coated center frame is intact, as it should be, however the wooden lateral structural pieces that attach to the internal structure are showing signs of failure and appear to be on verge of losing their ability to support the upper deck. The retaining railings on the upper deck area are consistently losing the vertical slats that keep the occupants from falling off. Again the wood that these boards are secured to appears to be cracking and losing its ability to hold the screws fast. A simple push on any of these boards caused them to pop out and create a gap in the railing and/or expose the children to sharp wood screws. The plastic slide has already required that it be unfastened and reinstalled, because the three heavier screws that keep it in place had started to pull from the cracking wood.Overall the weakness of the wood appears to be the problem here. It's losing its ability to hold the wood screws tightly over a short period of time. Now upon inspection, it is deemed unsafe for the children to play inside or on the upper structure due to the inability of the boards to stay fastened and the pending hazards that creates. When we searched online for reviews, it appears many other customers have had the same issue with the wood failing over a short period of time. This is not acceptable. We are seeking a full refund under the 5 year warranty that accompanied this playset.Desired Settlement: We are seeking a refund of the money paid for this item. We will gladly pack this set and ship it back to the company (they will pay shipping) or we will dispose of it once a refund is given. We are very upset in the quality of this play set.

The Juneau Wood Complete Playset has a 30 day return policy. Swing-N-Slide provides a 5 year Limited Warranty to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use and conditions and required maintenance. We have offered to replace all boards that the consumer requests to ensure the play system is safe. This resolution, however is not acceptable to the consumer at this time.
