I recieved a response from the liner company and they said they had no e-mails from me.I must apologize because the e-mailswere sent to Namco Corp.that sold us the pool package.Namco said they were not responsible for the split in the liner and the liner company was not contacted .I will contact them and get back to you if they reject the warranty on the liner. Thanks

Hi, I do not show any record or correspondence with this customer. We will gladly look into his warranty claim. He can contact us at [redacted]. Thanks David S[redacted]
We include our warranty policy with every liner. It clearly states that the 1st year of warranty is a full rated warranty and the liner is replaced free of charge if the defect is in fact due to a manufacture's defect. It also states that after the 1st year is goes into a prorated...
warranty and the amount owed is based on the purchase price and how many years after purchase it is being replaced. Fading is not considered a manufacture's defect and would not normally be covered. We typically find that is caused by the in balance of pool chemicals. However, in this case we were willing to make an exception for this customer and and warranty it anyways. If she would like a replacement we are willing to replace it based on the warranty policy. Unfortunately she did not purchase it from as, as we are the manufacturer, so we can not issue a credit towards a future purchase. That would be up to Pool Supplies. I have included a copy of our warranty policy. Sincerely, David S[redacted]Operations manager
Review: I purchased a pool liner from this company in July of 2013. In March of 2014, less than eight months after I installed it, the liner failed catastrophically and tore in 6-8 places all around the seam. As a result of the liner failure, the pool walls collapsed and much of the sand under the liner washed out. I have a terrible mess on my hands now. The liner was supposed that have a 25 year warranty. I contacted the company and filled out their warranty claim form and sent in a sample of the failed product. After several weeks I had not received any response from the company. I followed up with an inquiry and was told that the warranty covers seams only and my warranty claim would not be honored be cause the seam itself had not failed. The liner ripped above the seam, below the seam, and in all places other than the seam. Essentially, because the company defined the limit of their warranty as covering seams only, they maintain that the rest of the product is free to fail with no recourse. This is a terrible company with a worthless warranty and apparently very greedy. How difficult is it to provide a full replacement of a defective liner that cost less than $200.00 originally? They refused to stand behind their product. I will never purchase products from this company again and strongly discourage others from doing so as well.Desired Settlement: I would like the original purchase cash value of the liner refunded to me. Swimline should also cover the repair costs for the pool walls, the new sand to be installed, the water to refill the pool and the labor for all the work.

Response:
Our warranties cover seam failures. When the vinyl splits in the vinyl and not the seam this is not covered. There could be various reasons why this could occur that are not a result of a manufacturing defect. They could include faulty installation a bad winter and a list of other reasons. If there was a hole in the vinyl it would have leaked from day 1. Holes do not just occur randomly in vinyl over time. They are caused by outside forces.
I am enclosing our warranty form that details what we cover.

Review: I purchased a pool with [redacted] on June *,2013. On April **,2014 C and D Installers came to my home. They told me I had a defective liner. I had a pin size hole in the seam. again they said it was defective. They only found it through a leak detector. You can reach C and D at phone number ###-###-####. Or their email address is [redacted] If you have any questions for them. I called swimline corp. spoke to a woman named [redacted]. Her number is ###-###-#### or fax number ###-###-####. Her email is [redacted]. We exchanged several emails and called her several times. She stopped responding. She said they would not cover it. we put hole in liner. But C and D Installers says its defective. My liner has a 15 year warranty. And it states first season no charge every season after that its prorated. My warranty states Swimline Corporation family liners are warranted free of defects in the seams for a period of 15 seasons. Thats word for word on their paper work.Desired Settlement: This issue needs to be setteled before June , because C and D Installers is going to install the liner free of charge. So if we run out of time I would like the price of a new liner. Since Swimline stopped corresponding.

I can understand [redacted]'s frustration. We do cover our liners to be free from defects, such as split seams. If she will follow our warranty process and send us the defective piece so we can verify that it is a true defect on the seam, then we would honor our warranty and replace the liner free of charge. I am enclosing our warranty form with this email.

C and D Installers told me that it was a defective liner. I can not send Swim Line a piece of the pool liner. It only has a tiny hole in the seam. I would have to cut a piece of the liner. I already told them that. If they would like me to do that then I will. Again C and D Installers were the ones who told me it was a defective liner.

Response:
As I have stated all along, Swimline will replace a liner when its a manufacture's defect. We explained to this customer many times as to
how our warranty works. We require the defective piece of the liner back in order to determine it is in fact a defect. Once this is
determined we send out a new liner free of charge if its within the first year of the warranty. We not only explained this to the customer
on the phone and via email but I have also did the same through this forum. I also have included our warranty form for clarification as to
what our warranty covers and how to proceed with our warranty process. This customer chose to go outside of our warranty program and chose to
purchase a new liner on her own. We do not reimburse customers if they choose to do this. We will gladly still send her a new liner once she
completes the warranty process.
We have informed her of our process before she chose to purchase a new liner from another company. We would have supplied her a new liner under our warranty program had she chose to do that. Unfortunately she did not and chose to purchase another one from outside our program. As stated before, we do not reimburse in this case.
Respectfully,
Consumer

I never received a new liner from swin line. I had to purchased a new liner. I had a reliable pool installer company that came out with a leak detector. C&D installers stated that the liner was defected & couldn't be fixed. I gave Swim Line the phone # &address so they could communicate with C & D installers. Swim Line made no attemt to contact C & D installers. Also, swim line never sent anyone to look out the liner! I couldn't remove the liner until I had new liner because the pool had to have water in it! Who was going to take redponsibility for the pool if I removed the liner & a storm came.or high winds? I 'm not going to kept writing back & forth & statex the same thing. I will be putting my [redacted] bill in an escrow account until I get reimbursted for the liner. Just another dissatisfied customer.

Review: ,We ordered a standard 16x32x48 above ground Kayak liner, when we went to install it,it would not fit,I contacted Specialty pool products and they told me to take pictures of us measuring the liner(which we did-lots of them!)and emailed them for review. They emailed back saying that we need to send the liner back to swimline, which we did at our cost.Swimline received the liner back on 9/*/14 but only after my persistence did they respond on 9/**/2014 to say the measurements were correct..I do not trust these scammers and I want my money back so I can obtain the proper measured liner. As I stated before,I have proof from the many pictures. The depth was supposed to be 48" but it was only 43",the width was supposed to be 16 but it was only 15.4,the only measurement that was correct was the length @ 32.Desired Settlement: I want the amount of $402.99 plus the cost to ship the liner back $69.99 refunded back to us,

Review: I purchased an above ground pool liner from [redacted] pool on line June 2014. We had it installed and there was a tear which we couldn't see by the end of the summer last year. I called [redacted] then and was told to call Swimlinecorp as [redacted] contracts with them for their liners, which are warrantied. Upon talking to the customer service rep., she told me to send in a piece of the liner with the tear. At that time, we couldn't find it so I didn't do this. We just opened the pool this year, and there was only about one foot of water left. I called Swimline again, and sent her pictures of the liner. I was told that the warranty only covers tears in the seam. This tear is only 1/2 in. From the seam. I feel that for purchasing the liner, having it installed and paying for the metered water, they should help me with this.Desired Settlement: I would prefer a refund but as I didn't buy it directly from Swimline, I don't think they can do this. Maybe a refund from [redacted] or if not, a replacement.

Review: I purchased a Riverside pool from a Pelican dealer on [redacted] in [redacted] April [redacted], 2013. I had it installed by a professional installer J&K Pool Maintenance LLc. on May [redacted]. 2013. While installing they noticed ants crawling around on the sand and told me to go buy some ant killer. I did and put down 2 containers of ant killer. In July I started to notice the level of the pool water going down. I filled it but it went down again. I looked and looked all inside the pool for leaks or holes. I found nothing. I called Pelican and informed them about it. I also called J&K pool maintenance also and they said they have a device that can find holes in 3 minutes. I asked them to come by and they found 7 holes in my pool liner in one spot. He told me it was from ants. That they have been eating other peoples pool liners also. He said there’s something with the pool liners that’s ants have been eating them. It cost me $175.00 dollars to find and fix the wholes. My father had our pool up for 20 years and had maybe 7 holes in 20 years not 2 months. I looked over your warranty and it says nothing about insects that can damage your liner. My liner will never make 25 seasons. This is a defect with the liner and needs to be addressed. Maybe this pool installer never mentioned it to swimline but he said it has been happening to other pools. Now I winterized my pool and noticed the water is still going down. I probably need a new liner next yearDesired Settlement: Replace liner
Business
Response:
Dear [redacted],
Our warranty clearly states that we will cover manufacturers defect which consists typically of seam separations. [redacted] claims his liner had holes chewed into his liner by ants later confirmed by the installation company. First off, the claim that there is something wrong with the liner to make ants eat them is absolutely ludicrous. We make over 200,000 liners a year for over 40 years. There is nothing in the vinyl to "make" ants eat them. Since these holes were from ants they are not covered by our warranty. We can not replace his liner under our warranty program.
I am enclosing our warranty sheet for your review.

Review: I purchased a Sunchaser Floating lounge chair (model 10030) on May [redacted], 2013 at the Fort Walton Beach Pinch-a-Penny store. This was to be a birthday present for my wife (July). There was no damage to the box and it was not apparent the box had already been opened. When I went to assemble the chair on her birthday, I noticed it was missing parts. I contacted Swimlines email customer service stating the parts I was missing and could they please send them to me. I stated I was not looking for a replacement chair , just what was missing. The floating chair is not usable without these parts. After two weeks of hearing nothing, I sent a certified letter stating the problem and saying if I received no response by August [redacted] , I would be contacting the Revdex.com. The letter was received on August [redacted], signed by a [redacted]. As of this writing, I have heard nothing.Desired Settlement: Just send me the missing parts.

Review: We purchased a pool and liner from [redacted] in [redacted]. The liner has a 15 year warranty from Swimline Corp and it has holes at or near the seams and is leaking. I contacted the company calling the holes pin holes as I do not know what else to call them and they told me they will not cover the warranty even through it states that the liner will be free of defects for 15 years, and the liner is defective. [redacted] told us we had to call them for the replacement of the liner and [redacted] stated they will not stand behind the warranty. The liner was purchased in April 2013.Desired Settlement: We need the pool liner replaced as it is still under warranty and is defective.

Response:
This liner was purchased over a year ago. When the liner was installed there were no holes or issues with this liner. It was not until after a year that holes were causing the leaks. Unfortunately holes do not just appear in vinyl. They are caused by something such as nut grass, termites etc. Since these holes were caused a year after it was purchased this would not be covered under our warranty. These holes are not considered a manufacturer's defect. This issue was not present when the liner was first removed from the box.
