Dear Revdex.com,
We did provide relocation service for the customer [redacted] and we did not violated the law. Pick up was done on 03/**and we did delivered on 04/**. It took only 6 days and by the contract we have 7-14 business day to complete delivery. We did communicate with the...
customer but looks like she don't want to understand about having other customers in the truck and the truck also sometimes need to maintained to be save on the road. Shipment was delivered no damages or different issue was discovered.
Review: While moving my furniture and other items out of my rented apartment [redacted] on July [redacted], 2013, the moving crew from Swift Movers Van Lines, Inc. at [redacted], knocked a hole (approximately 6-7inches in diameter) in the inside ceiling of my apartment foyer, about two feet in from the front door (see photograph attached).
I immediately notified the building management who sent their head maintenance employee to assess the damage. The Swift Movers Van Lines crew assured me they would tell their office to send me a damage claim form when they got back to Brooklyn. That same day, I vacated the apartment and left the keys with the management office. I never got upset with the movers, realizing we are all only human.
The following Friday, August [redacted], I received a phone call from [redacted], my landlord in Vernon, and was informed the cost to repair the damaged ceiling would be approximately $1,200.00. I called [redacted] at Swift Movers that same day after I hung up with [redacted] agreed to have the repair estimate faxed to his office to look over and spoke directly with a representative at [redacted].
It has taken several weeks to get the charges and justification for the work verified. I only received the final bill for the work, with a breakdown of costs yesterday (see document attached).
For some reason, to date I have not received any type of claim form from Swift Movers Van Lines, despite several promises to the contrary. I make no judgment or assumptions. I am just asking for your help in getting this situation settled, to the best of your abilities.
I can't imagine it would make sense for a [redacted], nor the mover they have presumable vetted and assigned to the customer, to see an otherwise very satisfied customer stuck with a bill for $1,168.71 for physical damage caused by the moving crew.
I also realize that this was an unusual situation in that I, as a tenant, had no discretion on how the ceiling was repaired. Had I owned the unit, I would simply have had the hole filled in. However, the property owner had every right to have their ceiling restored to its original condition with no visible marks.
I am simply asking that Swift Movers Van Lines share the cost of the repair with me, 50/50, and pay the sum of $584.35 to me as I have settled the matter with the landlord.Desired Settlement: I am simply asking that Swift Movers Van Lines share the cost of the repair with me, 50/50, and pay the sum of $584.35 to me as I have already settled the issue with the landlord.

Review: I recently was transferred from Philadelphia P**to Denver CO. I have approximately 1 bedroom apartment to move and chose Swift Movers Van Lines. I spoke with **thony [redacted] who appears to be the only customer representative. I was guaranteed if my articles were picked up on 12/**/13 they would be delivered by 1/**/14 - as I stared work on 1/**/14. I spoke with **thony [redacted] and provided a rough estimate of what I had(already packed) he provided me with an estimate of 1295.00. I scheduled pick up for 12/**/13 between 3-5PM. I was left a voicemail by [redacted] on 12/**/13 advising me to return his call. I returned his call, around 6:30 that evening, leaving a voicemail. I received an e-mail stating the pickup would be rescheduled for 12/**/13 between 9-11**. 12/**/13 no show all day, attempted to contact [redacted] every other hour, no answer. 12/**/13 attempted to contact [redacted] every other hour, no answer. 12/**/13 finally spoke with [redacted], advised he didn't know why nothing was picked up, advised he would "check on it." Called back 3 hours later stating pick up would be that evening between 3-5PM. ** this time I had missed 1.5 days of work waiting for pick up. No explanation was provided. Upon pick up, after truck was loaded I was advised there was 2x as many articles and the new balance was $2800. **tempted to contact [redacted] for status updates/disputes several times, advised he will call back by unknown person. Delivery was scheduled for 1/**/14, contacted by driver on 1/**/14 who advised delivery will be 1/**/14 between 11-12. Missed .5 day of work- on first day at new job. Contacted [redacted] regarding lost time, lack of updated invoice, and pick up/delivery issues. [redacted] said to pay balance or my belongings would be sent to a storage facility(hostage) and I would be charged every day they are there until the balance is paid. [redacted] also advised me he would NOT take a check from me, indicating I would write a bad check. I had to pay the balance of $1700.00 in cash.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for loss of work(2 full days) and time wasted waiting for delivery(4 days), and a fine for not complying with the contract. Unfortunately I feel this company will not comply with any judgment as their recently history of complaints has proven.

Hello,
First at all almost all info what the customer provide is not correct:
1.The pick up was scheduled on **of Dec, but we was trying to confirm the pick up on 20 by phone call and email without any success. The customer never respond to our email or phone call until monday morning. The truck was send same day. We have loses because we did not do any work on Saturday . We was hopping to hear from customer.
2. Delivery day was not guaranty, for cross country moves we are giving 7-14 business days, and we are on time. The driver call the customer 24 hours in advance so the customer knew when we are coming.
3. The price was based on the inventory the customer provide, he moved 2 times more items when was agree.
If you need any prove feel free to ask me anytime.
Best Regards,
Review: I signed an agreement with the moving company on 3/**/14 to move my belongings , household goods, furniture, clothing etc to Creswell North Carolina. I was promised that it would be there by Monday 3/**/14 Monday came and my family called to say no one came. I tried to call the company all day and all night no one answered the phones I left several messages for the sales person who's name is [redacted]. On 4/**/14 I get a call from [redacted] stating that someone had quit and that they were wanting for another move to Virgina. No one ever told me I would be sharing the truck with another family. [redacted] kept trying to over talk me. I had already given the company $ 550.00 and another $1.000.00 when they made the delievry of my property on time. Today is Wednesday 4/**/14 still no delivery. [redacted] called today and stated the truck is leaving today and the movers should be there 4/**/14 but he will call me to ler me know. It is now 5:46 pm 4/**/14 and I have not received a call. This has been a big burden on my mother-in-law who is 74 old the person who has been waiting for the delievry. She lives 2 hours away from where my belonging are going.Desired Settlement: To find out where my belongings are and get a billing adjusment.

Review: RE: Swift Movers Van Lines of Brooklyn, NY Job # [redacted] Delivery date: September **,2013 The management of Swift Movers Van Lines of Brooklyn, NY , specifically the General Manager, [redacted], has failed to professionally address my issue of boxes not being delivered to my new apartment from their storage warehouse. The delivery was supposed to be 550 cubic feet of boxes and furniture. I only received 20 boxes ( I have retained all of the boxes) and furniture. When I first called [redacted] on 9/**/13 about missing items he vocalized his surprise that I had been able to unpack everything in several hours. Initially, [redacted] said that he would request my paperwork from the warehouse to investigate the issue and have an answer for me by the end of business on 9/**/13. When I did not get an answer to my question on 9/**. I have attempted to communicate with him and a man by the name of [redacted], who I believe is the VP, to resolve this issue expeditiously. His response was a blank email with claim forms attached. Originally I was told the claim forms were only for documenting the damages to the items I did receive. Today I attempted to speak with [redacted] on the phone.; but, before he hung up on me, I was told that he had other work to do and that finding my things was not a priority. Now I am being told via email that I am being accused of "claiming" to not having received all of my boxes. All I have been asking is for them to check the copy of their manifest for the total number of items in my job lot and deliver what is missing. The delivery crew did not compare the number of items delivered with the total number of items listed on the manifest. I did witness the manifest as a part of the paperwork brought with the crew to the delivery.Desired Settlement: I want to work with the business to find my missing items and have them delivered to me in a timely manner. I want my contact person to problem solve the issue with me and not dismiss my complaint. I want to resolve this situation without it escalating to litigation,a fate I fear is inevitable if I can't find anyone in the Swift Movers Van Lines management who understands that I entrusted my life's material goods with them.

I dont understand this complain about what.
Review: The estimate that this company gave me was $1800.00. The driver then charged me $700.00 (he originally wanted over $1500.00) to pick up (on top of my $695.00 deposit) and then charged me an additional $3300.00 to have it delivered. He waited to tell me the change until after my household goods were loaded. After he told me what it would be, I told him to take the stuff off the truck, to forget it because I CANNOT afford that. He then told me that Swift would still charge me for the time he and the other mover spent at my house on top of charging to take it off the truck. He said it's the brokers fault for not doing a more accurate inventory. The original price he gave me was well over $4000.00 to have my stuff delivered to AZ. He then said that if I tipped he and the other mover $100 a piece, he would change the price, which he did and I will now have to pay $3300.00 upon delivery. He said if I put the tip in the check that it was unlikely that he and his partner would ever see the tip. He then pulled up information for an ATM on his iPhone and followed me there so I could give him cash. Furious and crying, I told him he was wrong for doing this but he said it's not his fault, it's the broker. When I said I would be making a complaint, he said "Go ahead. They're just gonna tell you to go[redacted]." He also said that I didn't have to tip him but you never know what might happen to my stuff while being transferred from one truck to another. We actually had a police officer on scene when they came to deliver so that they could not bully the situation again and so that we had a witness. I also asked why an inventory of my things was not done on site, he said that it is done when the contents are moved from the truck to the trailer. This cannot be right! I have no proof of my possessions and what should be delivered. He also did not have enough room on the truck which has resulted in me not being able to take over $1500.00 worth of things (a grill and outdoor table and chairs). He said they would not come back unless they charged me even more. Things are missing (and I have NO way to prove it) that I spent hard earned money on. There was NEVER a weight taken. The bill was based on an estimate of cubic feet which is illeagal. As a veteran and a single mother, I don't have a lot, but I work for everything I have. Not only do I not feel like I was treated with respect, but I feel COMPLETELY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I will be seeking legal counsel, complaining to the Revdex.com, and every other avenue I can find. This was an issue that I brought up before anyone set foot in my home. No one should ever be treated like this. I have never felt more disrespected and taken advantage of in my life. Can you imagine someone doing this to your mother, sister, or daughter? I put my trust in First Call Movers and Swift Van Lines. This is financially devastating for me. This company stole, took advantage of a sigle woman and lined their pockets with money that was earned by a veteran that has gone on three deployments to protect our rights. SICKENING! [redacted]Desired Settlement: The difference in price was more than $3300.00 and paymetn for goods not delivered.

We did our job according by the law, we did notify customer about price change before we even start the job. Some story about our foremen dont look real. He is working in our company for the long time and we never had those issue before, but anyway we did investigate this. Customer made mistake signing with the brokers who never came and give on side estimate, was giving low ball estimate. Customer had right to cancel the move after we told about price change, because we dont need any unhappy and angry customers (causing not by our fault) .
We finish our job by delivering last week no damages or any other issues.
Any questions or additional information feel free to ask me anytime.
