Review: A wedding cake was ordered and was to be delivered - personally by the owner, Shane -- on the date of the wedding, August 9, 2013 at [redacted] Center in Raphine, VA. I and another person were assured that he would have no trouble locating the site, as he planned to make a "dry run" ahead of time. He said he would be there with the cake at approximately 3:00 pm and we told him that we would pay him that day at the time of delivery. This was confirmed with him a couple of times several days prior to the wedding. The owner and cake never showed up! No notice, no warning, nothing. We had no idea what the problem was and have not been contacted by him since. We had the cash ready to pay for the cake and were extremely disappointed that there, in fact, would be no cake. It did put somewhat of a damper on the wedding, as the cake had a special meaning -- as it was meant to be a gift from the bride to the groom (a surprise!). We took the owner at his word, which, unfortunately, turned out to be a bad thing. We feel he should have taken care to complete this delivery as promised. I would not want to recommend him to others, because of the possibility of this happening to them. We were left in a pretty bad spot that night, but fortunately, were able to carry on with the event. He needs to be able to keep the commitments he makes with his customers!Desired Settlement: That he be notified of how disappointing his service was to us and that he caused a lot of unnecessary stress on a very special night.
