Review: The refurbished vending machine did not accept dollar bills, which renders the entire machine useless. When I complained to the seller, [redacted], he insists that it was checked out by his staff. And will charge us for coming out to inspect it. Even though the claim was made a few days after I received the product, the seller refused to guarantee his claim that it was in working condition.Desired Settlement: If you cannot sell me a vending machine that can accept dollar bills, then please take your machine back.

Response:
[redacted] made this purchase by phone, I never met him in person. I informed him there was no warrantee on this machine because it was an oddball machine and we do not have extra parts for it. It was cheaper than his other options so he accepted that. My guy tested this for him when he dropped off the machine, and we finalized the transaction. IT WAS WORKING! Several weeks later [redacted] contacted me wanting me to purchase the machine back, I informed him that I was not in business to buy back machines and asked what the problem was. He first told me he was having issues and then he admitted to me that he had decided to purchase a different machine. I told him that decision was on him and if he had problems with the machine I sold him that we give our customers $10 off the cost of any labor for as long as they own the machines. He never once asked me to come service his machine as he did not want to incur the labor charges. I do not know if he actually had any problems or not, or if he just decided to go with a different machine, but the machine I sold him was not sold with a warrantee and if it were, that warrantee would not have included labor. I informed [redacted] of this when he originally bought the machine, and I told him that the machine was not a high quality machine, but that it was working. Which it was… All of the machines we sell get thoroughly tested, usually twice, prior to being delivered. That said, there are several things that could go wrong and we could have helped him with that if he would have called us when he was by the machine, but he never did that. He Basically just wanted to undo the transaction and I was not willing to do that. He told me he decided to purchase a different machine, and I told him that was his choice and if he needed help with the machine he bought from me to give me a call when he was by the machine and I could probably help him for free, he never took me up on that offer so I suspect that he had just changed his mind and that should be on him! From what I hear about [redacted]'s complaint he attempted to modify the machine to sell something different than it was intended too. He may have damaged the machine himself in doing so. Our machines are checked out prior to sale, and then once again prior to delivery and all functions of the machine were working properly. When we deliver the machine additional testing is done in front of the customer to show him that it works and how it works. There is no doubt the machine was working properly prior to us leaving the customers location. The invoice shows that there was no warrantee offered or implied on this machine, and this matches what I told [redacted] when he purchased the machine. I have sold maybe 1000 machines and we have an extremely good reputation and offer ongoing service after the purchase. Sam simply wanted us to travel for 4 hours to fix issues which may not have even been issues because the machine is designed to sell three 12 oz cans, and 3 bottled drinks or energy drinks only. When he mentions clipped wires, there were NO CLIPPED wires when we left the machine with him. It would not have tested correctly it there were any clipped wires. I can't be held responsible for what happens to a machine after it is delivered and we leave. [redacted] was told what the machine would sell, if he tried to sell something else, and convert the machine, that too is on him. For him to damage the machine and then get his money back would be a tragedy for good businessmen like myself. I have ZERO complaints with the Revdex.com because we always take care of our machines and our customers. I believe [redacted] has purposely or possibly accidentally damaged the machine, perhaps trying to get it to sell something that it was not designed for. I have sold over 1000 machines, we have never had a customer do what Sam is trying to do. We have never had a Revdex.com complaint in 12 years.
