Review: On February 27, 2015 S.W.A.T. installed a radon mitigation system in my home. They gave me a guarantee to bring radon levels below 4 pCi/L. A Radon test from March 10, 2015 showed an EPA average of 11 pCi/L. Upon contacting S.W.A.T. they said they could install a larger mitigation fan,and that this could bring the radon levels below 4 pCi/L. They also told me this fan would cost an additional $300.Desired Settlement: I would like S.W.A.T. to honor the guarantee they gave me in writing. The guarantee to bring radon levels to a point below 4 pCi/L.

S.W.A.T appears to be going to great lengths to resolve this issue and honor their guarantee. Because of their efforts, I would recommend their services to others. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Review: I had a radon mitigation system installed by this company in June of 2014. Just recently I discovered the fan, which runs continuously, is not working. According to the contract with the company, the fan has a 5 year warranty. However, they want to charge me $199 to replace the non-working fan. This seems rather exorbitant since the fan only lasted less than 2 years. Is this going to be a replacement every two years that I am going to have to pay for? Seems to me that this is not ethical. The contract says that a labor charge will be assessed for removal and installation of the new fan. It does not indicate how much the charge will be. $199 seems awfully high for maybe an hours work. They would not schedule a repair call unless I gave them my credit card number and information.Desired Settlement: I think the company should charge a more reasonable amount for replacing this fan.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The company was quick to respond to my complaint and did more than I expected to rectify the problem. I did not expect them to do the work for free, just a more reasonable cost since the fan had originally been installed less than two years before and it had a 5 year warranty on it. The person who contacted me was most pleasant and claimed it was not company policy to require a credit card account number before they would schedule a repair call. I'm not sure if this is true or not. In any case, the problem was resolved quickly and I appreciate it very much.
