The door was ok when she bought the carThe car was inspected after she purchased it and passed the state safety inspectionWe feel that Ms [redacted] damaged the door and we offered to have the door fixed at our costThe car was purchased as is and she did not want to pay for the repair
I
have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I have a letter from mechanic stating the fact that the door has been this way for some timeGlass fragments were found and brought to dealers attention in April when the car was brought back withindays after purchaseDealer States in response she offered to cover repair costsThis is an untrue statementI did not damage the door and am appalled she would even suggest such.

My husband and I had been on the search for a new car for a little over months, when we happened across ***'s Auto Center Via the internetWe decided to give her a shot and boy were we surprised when we discovered the lack of professionalism involved with this staffUpon arrival (our first initial meeting) we found an adorable Honda Civic HybridWe asked for the car fax and low and behold, the information on the paper we were given, was not legitThere were 10,miles on this car that could not be accounted for via the car faxWhen we asked for the documentation for those miles, *** herself, fast talked us to the point of not receiving what we had previously asked her for*** mentioned that she was the one who applied all 10,of these miles via several trips to the mountains and that she herself, had NO issues concerning the carIn fact she actually stated "I'd keep this car for me if I could"My husband and I ended up purchasing this car from this establishment and low and behold less than hours later, the engine light came on, the catalytic converter kit had gone outWe called *** and informed her of this issue and thus our troubles beganShe stated that she would fix this car, but we would have to pay her for the laborWe researched the price of the part that was needed, as it turned out, we still ended up paying for said part and the labor involvedKeep in mind that we literally just purchased this car hours prior...Now step two, we met her alleged top mechanic *** (from Toyota) supposedly the best in the line etcSimply not trueHis only skill it seems is to reset the engine light just long enough for you to leave the car lotminutes later, the light is right back onThese two have a wonderful game of good cop/bad cop going with their customersShe will say "I will pay for the part and labor will be free" however, *** will double charge you for the part, in return still getting paid for the labor*** claimed to order the part for our car in February and after numerous phone calls, we were unable to contact himHis reasoning "I was going through a custody battle with my child"At this point the only way I was able to contact this mechanic was to block my number and try for an answerHere it is April and we were FINALLY able to contact *** and he stated that our part had finally arrived and for us to bring the car down for him to repair itMy husband took off of work to make the minute drive to this establishment and dropped the car off for said repairsOnly to receive another phone call the very next day, with *** informing us that he had NOT fixed the car, because he did NOT have the correct partNow we asked *** if this part could be purchased at *** and he replied "no", but that the company he orders the part from would be open on Monday and to give him a call before 11am to have him order itHe stated that the part would cost That did not sit well with us, so we made our own phone calls! To no surprise, *** DID have the exact same part and it only costed Now, with the supposed free labor, where was this other money going? We have made countless minute trips to this establishment, only to be lied to over and overI will not ever recommend this dealership to any of my friends or familyI just simply would not want anyone I know having to deal with the flat out rudeness of their secretary *** their useless mechanic ***, and the blatant disrespect from *** herselfWe feel as though we have wasted 5,of our hard earned moneyThis place seems to be very "fly by night" when it comes to any concern over your purchaseOnce they have money in hand, your engine problems are no concern of theirsI would definitely suggest shopping around at ANY other location before entertaining this establishment
