Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I am laughing so hard at his statementI told the mechanic "juan" my truck needed a split flange when I took it inI'm sorry I don't own a lift to be able to just pick my truck up and look under it I was looking from the topBut funny that you said about not taking short cutsWhile removing the y pipe you started with a sawzaw to remove itThen went to a cutting torchWho thought you how to remove a pipe? You cut the pipe up for no reasonWas the pipe cut up because you didn't want to remove the skid plate then front driveshaft to just drop the y pipe? Because that seems like a big short cutAnd it also looks like an year old did the cuts on the pipeI would've welded the pipe back together and been on my way of it was at least clean cutsAnd you're saying if I knew what I was doing why did I take it to a garage? Because I wanted it done quickI wasn't expecting my truck to sit out front of your place for a week and nothing get done to itWhy did I take it to a garage? Because I work days a week and didnt want to be outside at midnight working on my truck in degree weatherIt was degrees outside when I fixed it and it was less than hoursHow did it take you all that time and all you did was teach your mechanic how to use a cutting torchYou teaching people how to use torches shouldn't be done on my timeAll you had to do was knock the bolts out and install a split FlangeInstead you start talking to me like my truck is the end of the world and my parts are going to be at different machine shopsWhy would you need a machine shop? The bolts came out with a hammer and a punchOh they are the bolts that you guys broke and didn't remove as well The bolts that you snapped and then left my truck sit outside for days without calling meRemember that? You can lie all you want saying I told you to cut my pipe up but I never didI was going by your word why ou were saying about how the holes and rust are in my exhaustWhen it was only a rotted flangeI can beat someone to death with the pipeIt's still rock solidHas no holes or rust "going thru it"It's just a used exhaust pipeThis could've all been avoided if you didn't try to cut corners and cut my exhaust offAll you had to do was unbolt the skid plate and drop the front drive shaft and it would've fell right downAlso yes I did have a mechanic workin on it with meThe "owner" of this garage didn't look to happy when me and him went to his garage to question him on why they cut that upMy mechanic was recently employed by *** *** *** garage in Columbia and is now an employee of *** motor salesI only wen to Susquehanna automotive because I live in this area and hear Susquehanna this and that and it's known to be a good business nameThis was by far good businessYou destroyed my pipe and told me I need a new one for more labor and moneyIt was a simple fixI can go outside and start my truck and she is purring like a kittenAlso, I was told an hour of your work was spent over looking my truck for inspectionWhy did I not get a receipt for anything that has to do with Pennsylvania state inspection? Why did I not get a list of anything that I needed for inspection? I was going to ask while on the phone with the guy but than he just hung up on meWas going to have a lawyer get the list from him for me so I didn't have to see him but he told me if a lawyer talks to him he's going to try during me for slanderThat's good business? Lol no short cuts? You took You owe me the money for my new y pipe Iand the hour of labor for inspection work unless you produce a list have the recipe for you because *** *** gave me that(: also you said it was a custom job become in the last response why did *** *** have the standard parts it needed and they worked fine?
Regards,
*** ***

This is in Response to [redacted] claim # [redacted]. Here at Susquahanna Automotive we provide the most correct fix. We do not In no way shape or form do any work that our customers do not Approve. We Informed [redacted] that we wanted to Replace The down pipe which costs $75.00. He Approved the Replacement But In an earlier Statement he claims he brought the truck here Knowing what was wrong. [redacted] had no Idea what was wrong with the exhaust because he asked us to look it over. He also states that he wanted the clamps Installed. that is also a lie because we sent Pictures of the exhaust to him he never mentioned the clamps and he Approved the downpipe. The Reason the downpipe was torched out was because of Rust and it saved us alot of time to Remove it. The downpipe flanges were bad and we already had his Approval to Remove it. We don't save bad parts. I also don't understand If he had Another mechanic that fixed the problem in 1 hr then why bring it to me when I gave him a quote for $1500+ to Repair It correctly. In addition to the downpipe there was a band clamp near the cat that was leaking. There is also a snapped mainfold bolts that needed Repair. for liability Reasons we Return all cars/trucks back to OEM Specs. [redacted] said that "money was not a problem" that's why the mainfolds were Attempted to be Removed there were already Snapped bolts and the were leaking and that does not pass Inspection. Now to address the last statement. [redacted] asked us to look the truck over for any other Issues. as well Here is why I came to my desision. • [redacted] Brought the truck into the shop for and exhaust leak - Diagnostic fee• We gave [redacted] a Quote and told him It would greatly vary from $300 - $1,500 + - [redacted] Approved the work - [redacted] never mentioned split flanges - [redacted] Requested to have the truck looked over• Pulled [redacted]'s [redacted] in and went over it. - needs mainfold studs - needs downpipe - needs band clam fixed - needs tires - Charged [redacted] to look it over• Pulled [redacted]'s [redacted] in again - Removed downpipe - Attempted to Remove head to mainfold studs - Mainfold studs broke - Informed [redacted] that the bill would be alot higher. - [redacted] Paid $120.00 and Removed the truck. [redacted] could have done the Repair him self in 1 hr? [redacted] knew what was wrong with the truck? [redacted] Requested split flanges? These statements are all false. We Removed the Rusty peices which made his job the easy job which to 1 hr to Install a downpipe. The flanges were bad If this truck was taken to a dealership the exact same Repair would have been done. I already called a [redacted] dealership and asked. I only have a couple questions.1. Replacing the downpipe is the Correct fix and did you Approve it? 2. You asked us to look over the truck did you not.3. If you Approved the downpipe but you knew what was wrong and you wanted split flanges why did you Approve It? 4, If you could do this Repair in 1 hr and I quoted you $1500 and you verified both of these things in your statements. why did you let us work on the truck. Like I said before here at Susquehanna Automotive we do things Right the first time. We also back our work with a 1 yr parts and labor warranty. We do this because we are liable for the Repairs that leave this shop. If you do not want to do business with us in the future so be it. But no refunds of any kind will be given. Any slander that I hear of I will presue In court.
[redacted] and I exchanged cars about 8 months ago. Upon the trade I informed him that the [redacted] had a replaced Engine and Transmission from [redacted]. The Engine and Transmission Does come with a 1 year warranty but the start date is at the time of purchase from [redacted]. Prior to the trade...
I informed [redacted] to check with [redacted] to Verify the warranty info on the engine and transmission and to also verify that they were replaced before trading for the [redacted]. also gave [redacted] the paperwork I had on the engine and transmission so if anything were to happen he had the invoice numbers. informed him at the time of the sale that there was only 8 or so months left on the transmission and about 10 - 11 months on the Engine and again, [redacted] was able to call [redacted] prior to the trade to again verify the remaining time that the engine and transmission are covered. The Warranty is not provided threw Susquehanna Automotive or he would have recieved paperwork stating that. The [redacted] came in at the 6 month or so mark for a rear main seal and I covered half of the labor and parts even though it was not covered by any warranty. also had to complete over $1,000.00 in repairs to the car that was traded in on the [redacted] called [redacted] himself and was told by Roy the store manager the warranty had expired on the transmission and is about 26 days out of its coverage. [redacted] neglected to look at the paperwork and warrentee information available to him from [redacted] prior to the trade regarding the engine and transmission and again this warranty was threw [redacted] and Susquehanna Automotive has no responsibilityin replacing the transmission. [redacted] has no paperwork stating there was a 1 year warranty because there never was a 1 year warranty threw Susquehanna Automotive.I did offered [redacted] another transmission threw [redacted] with a 1 year warranty for half price and I offered to installed it at $25.00 1 hr for labor which is under half of our labor cost but Susquehanna Automotive will in no way shape or form be taking full responsibility in replacing the transmission in [redacted]. However if [redacted] would like the truck repaired we are willing to repair the truck at our facility only if we provide the transmission, which will in fact come with a 1 year parts warranty from [redacted] from the date of part purchase. A 1 year labor warranty can also be purchased as well to fully cover the transmission. We will provide this service to [redacted] at 50% off even though [redacted] fully understood the warranty at the time the trade took place. We understand that its frustrating for something like this to happen just outside of a warranty when you depend on a car or truck to go back and forth to work, school or to take your kids places. Alot of other garages would not even provide this Warrentee but here at Susquehanna Automotive we go the extra mile for our customers in situations like this. Thank you for you time.Page 1
