Approxminutes after *** *** left with her vehicle on 6/a man, who identified himself as her father, called to discuss the oil smudge/stain, etcon the passenger seat cover. My counter person profusely apologized for the situation and asked her to come back by so that we could see
if we could get the stain/smudge out and rectify the situation. This was how I was "aware of the situation already". *** *** was upset that this had happened to her vehicle, and expressed that in detail when she returned this morningI agreed with her that it shouldn't have happened, I apologized that it did happen, and asked for her keys to see what we could do to get the situation remedied. I sent my technician out to the car to see what could be done and in the interim had to answer a phone call and assist another customer on the front counter. I then went to my office and cut a check refunding the entire amount *** *** spent with us on 6/($52.36).** *** returned to my front counter very agitated that the stain was not coming completely outI gave her the refund check, apologized again for the situation and walked with her out to the car to look at the mark on the seat cover (the smudge/stain is approx. less than the size of an iPhone and on the rear left corner of the bottom portion the seat cover on the passenger seat.) At this point ** *** became very loud and agitated. She said that I was becoming frustrated with her (which made no sense to me) I told her that in no way was I frustrated with her, I was however frustrated at the fact the situation occurred and that I was frustrated with the technician who got the smudge on her seat cover. She stated that we didn't know what we were doing in trying to clean the mark and I asked her what specifically would she like me to use to clean the spot because I've never had to get a stain out of a pink seat cover beforeShe then yelled "How the *** should I know I don't work here!" at this point I tried to calmly interject and ** *** yelled "this is *** ***!" At that point I told her "we are done here" and walked awayShortly thereafter ** ***'s mother phoned and spoke to me about the situationI reiterated the facts of the matter to her.While we regret that *** *** seat cover incurred a mark, we feel that our offer to refund her the entire amount of $for the services we performed is adequate compensation for the inconvenience of the matterI am a reasonable businessman and have owned this business for almost years with a strong reputation in the community for being fair and honest with each and every customerI stand by our decision to refund ** *** only the amount of $(which can be applied toward professionally cleaning the seat cover if she so chooses) and we will not be purchasing another seat cover *** ***Smith-Davidson Tire & Auto
