Our business was a subcontractor on a job performed at the home of Mr. [redacted]. We were NOT contracted by Mr. [redacted], but by...

[redacted] Construction of Cologne, MN. We stated on a number of occasions that we were not able to offer a warranty on any installation because we did not perform all aspects of the installation start to finish as we were simply a tile contractor hired by Mr. [redacted]'s general contractor, Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] needs to discuss issues and make complaints agains the business with which he had a contract. We do not warranty subcontracted work. We informed Mr. [redacted] that the subfloor was not prepared properly (work NOT performed by our company) and he was not interested in spending more money on the project and we were told to move forward. The cracked tiles had nothing to do with our floor installation, but rather the fact that the subfloor was not prepared properly PER the request not to increase the budget by the homeowner and his contractor. Bottom line is that we were not contracted by Mr. [redacted], and he can speak directly with his contractor, Mr. [redacted].

Yes we paid Sure Set Stone and Tile directly as listed in my follow up comments with three payments ( Note: check #, amounts and dates are listed in previous comment)

I was just able to read the business response by Sure Set Stone and tile and I am surprised you would take his word over mine in this case and close the case with out asking for my respond to his false allocation of blame towards another party.
I worked with and paid Sure Set Tile and Stone On three occasions first when we agreed to the job second when the majority of the job was completed and finally when he demanded final payment before he would do the required service work
1st check #11099 for $4,0000.00 on 2-7-14
2nd check #11109 for $3,515.00 on 2-19-14
3rd check #11179 for balance of $400.00 on 7-5-14
[redacted] did replace some plywood and reinforce the floor by the back door ..under the direction of Sure Set tile and obviously if the sub floor was not replaced to their expectations they would never have proceeded with the tile work.
Furthermore if Sure Set was not responsible for the issue they never would have come out and replaced the tiles they did. Which as point of fact where not located in the area where the plywood was replace and in replacing them it was also determined the cement was fine there by eliminating the concept that the broken tile had anything to do with the work by [redacted] who I paid independently of Sure Set Tile and Stone.
Finally I have dozens of text messages in which Brian the owner of Sure Set asserts his responsibility along with his continued promises to fix the issue and replace the tile as well as to replace the tile as I am requesting.
Taking the word of a business for truth just because they are a business is misguided. Bad businesses and business men do bad things and you will never improve the business environment in the believe that all businesses are ethical.
