Superior Steam was providing cleaning services for my company. They cleaned a property for us in Kamas, Utah on July 7th. We received invoice #*** and incidentally paid the invoice of $575 two times. Check #8822 and check #8938, each for the amount of $575 were cashed by Superior Steam. Proof of the cleared checks were sent to Superior Steam along with a request of refund. Superior Steam has denied our request for refund after multiple attempts were made to recover the funds.
I am familiar with this dispute. The owner, Pete of Ameritrue Real Estate was a client for about 6 months and we performed around 50+ cleanings with him. Fast forward to this dispute - he sent us out to clean a home for a owner, we went out and cleaned the home, as we were leaving the house the property owner let Pete know that they didn't want anyone to clean the home because they were going to do it themself. At this point we have already performed the service, and Pete then said to us that the owner didn't want the service anymore....after the service has already been complete. He as the owner of the company needed to take full responsibility, and say he made a mistake. He made us refund half of the money, even though we performed the whole service. We refunded $200 or so from a $400 bill (keep in mind from his mistake, we were just sent in to do a job). Now he claims that he overpaid us on an invoice which we cant see on our end because it was almost 8 months ago and the bank cant seem to find the check and if it was cashed. (again his mistake that he needs to own up to as the company leader). Now he is slandering my company and harrassing me, because of the mistakes that he continues to make. I feel business owners need to be honest and own up to their mistakes.

I am rejecting this response because:
We are not disputing anything other than the fact that we sent 2 checks for the same invoice. Both checks are marked with the same invoice number in the memo as seen on attachments. Copies of cleared checks are attached as well.
