Showed up to look for leak, could not find it because "he did not have the equipment" to locate it and charged me $100.00 dollars.
Contacted company to find a leak after a 663.00 dollar water bill, and the water company came to our house. We were told to contact a sprinkler company since the leak was in the sprinkler system. This was explained to receptionist. The guy showed up on 11/22/19 walked around my yard and tells me that his company does not have the equipment to locate the leak that it was too small, to call another company. He said I still owed him $100.00 dollars for the trip. I contacted the company to ask them why they would not tell the customer why their company was not equipped for the job, and the receptionist said, "Thank you for letting us know, but I don't know how I can help." I told her that I needed to have my money refunded and she said she will talk to the technician.
I want them to refund the 100.00 dollars they charged for walking around my yard. They did not have the equipment for the job, and that is something they should've told the customer.
Any time we can not locate a leak in the yard, we refer our customers to American Leak Detection. They can pinpoint any leak on the property, including, underneath the slab and in the house. They are not an irrigation company. They only locate leaks. They have been trained to do this and have the specialized equipment to locate all leaks. I do not know of any sprinkler company in the state that has leak detection equipment. It is a very specialized, and highly technical trade. We could not see any sign of a leak in the yard. It could have been leaking from anywhere on the property, in the house, under the slab, in a wall, literally anywhere. Our only solution is to refer her to American Leak Detection, since there were no signs of a leak. We also tell all customers that we have a one hour minimum on all repairs. She agreed to the charges, she signed the invoice/work order, and she paid us. That was it. We, like most companies, must charge a minimum when we come out to a property. If we did not, I would go out of business, as we get a lot of calls that people assume are irrigation leaks, but are not irrigation leaks at all. This is very common.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This response is unacceptable because this information was not provided to me when I made the contact. I explained to the company that we were looking for a leak and that the water company was here and they could to locate it. Never, did they tell me that they did not have the equipment to locate the leak until they showed up. This is information that the customer needs. I feel they are deceitful and this is not the way to conduct business.
I was quoted $110 per hour and $55 per 1/2 hour after that plus parts. The technicians took their time and and finished a 10 minutes job in 66 minutes. They charged me $200 labor + $150 parts which they never used. They even charged me $60 for a locator tool. I am reporting them to Revdex.com and do not recommend them at all.
I would have chosen negative rating if it was available.
Superior Sprinkler Services sent Erick out to check sprinkler for leak. Erick turned off water to the house and stated the leak was at the meter and left. He did minimal work but Superior Sprinkler Services charged $110 for visit. No actual service or problem diagnosis was rendered.
Sprinkler system was not properly repaired but this was not discovered for several months due to winter season. Now refuses to repair correctly.
This company repaired a split line and cut electrical circuit for our residential irrigation system. It appeared that the repair was done correctly as service returned to the system at the rear of the house where the damage occurred. However, just over three months after the repair, I turned on the system to irrigate the entire lawn and found that the system was not behaving as it should. Regardless of which zone was specified to operate, zone 1 would remain engaged, resulting in insufficient pressure throughout the system to properly irrigate the other zones. The zones turn on - which gave the false positive for a successful repair when initially tested - but they do not have sufficient pressure to irrigate everywhere that is needed because zone 1 remains engaged regardless. This problem was not spotted when the repair was completed and is related to an improper rewiring or the electrical circuit as part of the repair. I have contacted the company at least six times over a three week period to explain this to them and have them come back out and fix this issue, but at this point they refuse to return my call any more.
I want this company to come back out and fix the faulty wiring so that only the zone selected operates and zone 1 does not stay on throughout the irrigation cycle.
The problem has now been resolved by the company. This complaint can be cancelled. Thanks.
Our sprinkler system needed maintenance work. Kevin came out and repaired a broken pipe and also several sprinkler heads. The charge was reasonable and competitive. Kevin was very cordial and professional. We will definitely use SSS anytime we need our sprinkler system maintained.
