In 2012, I had Superior replace a roof based on a neighbor's recommendation. They were a bit pricier than other companies, but no regrets: I have already saved money due to their stellar warranty. No cost to come out and repair anything related to the roof and anything associated --even if it was my oversight--for 10 years!!! Exceptional response time. This is THE best customer service I have ever encountered. if only I could find a plumbing and/or company with their work ethic. Notice they have only had one complaint in all the years they've been in business?
Review: UNSOLICITED FAXES COMING ONLY A WEEKLY BASIS FOR MONTHS. HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO HAVE FAX NUMBER REMOVED TO NO AVAIL. THIS IS TANTAMOUNT TO HAVING OUR NUMBER ON A "DO NOT CALL LIST" BEING IGNORED. WE ARE A PLACE OF BUSINESS AND THIS CONSTANT BARRAGE OF FAXES IF ANNOYING AND TYING UP MY FAX MACHINE AND VERY COSTLY USING COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF INK.Desired Settlement: IS THERE A "DO NOT CONTACT" LIST FOR FAXES?I NEED THIS UNWANTED ADVERTISING TO STOP.OUR FAX # IS [redacted]
Review: The roofer said he put on a new SBS rubber sytem on my roof. I had a leak in the roof. He said he did a whole new roof charged me 1500$. The roof was still leaking and this roofer did not call me back I called him at least 5 times. I called another roofer and went up on the roof with him the roof is the original roof that I had done 5 years ago. They didn't even touch the roof nothing was done on it. We were scammed for 1500$, they need to be put out of business.Desired Settlement: I want my money back and I want them to be put out of business.
Review: Job was not preformed to the specifics of the contract and had to monitor work preformed in order to assure satisfactory work and materials and materials were used. Sides of house and surrounding ground was to be tarped for protection of house and collection of debris but was not done. All old roof materials were to removed. Valley was not completly cleared old metal was left in place. One section of remave had some structural issues that were to resolved. Contract stated "Small section of right side main roof will be re-sheeted with OSB". In my interpretation and per discussion I was led to believe that old sheething would be removed prior to the installation of OSB. Due to work progression that day and incoming heavy rains I had to allow the result of an overlay of old material. Roof was to be underlayed with [redacted] Gaurd sythetic underlayment without consultation contractor switched to 15 lb tar paper. At which I interjected and was told that supplier was out of product. Requested that the paper be icreased to 30 pound which was honored and installed. Snow ice shield was to be placed on eves and valleys (per contract)eves were covered but then was told (during dispute)that the valley was extra on contractors part because he left on the old valley material. Valley was covered by snow and ice shield after I clarified it was going to be done but the material was not on job site and contractor did not know I was home at the time. Grey area for my speculation but I don't believe he had any intention of installing this material. Due too these discrepencies I felt need for adjustment for work not performed. Contactor immediatly offered to knock off $200.00 from $2400.00. I offered to pay $2100.00 but ws declined. Contactor threatened leaning property, legal fees, etc. I feel my offer to be more than far. I allowed 6 square @ $300.00 per square normal rate ($1800.00) and $300.00 for the re-sheeting (approximatly 3 4'x8' foot sheets of OSB. This was less than half the work I expected.Desired Settlement: Would like to settle this dispute at the price I offered to pay.

On or about October 1st 2013 [redacted]l [redacted] called Superior Roofing and requested an estimate on reproofing the upper right front main roof, After meeting with Mr. [redacted] and going over the specifics of what it would cost and the detail of the work to be done, he agreed and asked everything to be put in writing and that he would be paying with cash since the initial estimate was only $2400.00. Mr. [redacted] also requested that we measure the remaining roof area's of the house and garage so he could purchase additional shingles on a credit card for later use after I explained to him [redacted] had an overstock of GAF Mission Brown and were selling them at a discounted price of $70. The additional shingles he requested totaled 22.5 Square. I printed Mr, [redacted] a fully detailed estimate to which he read and agreed to and asked that we go ahead with the work requested of us. On or about October 9th we arrived at The [redacted] residence to stop His work requested. Upon arrival Mr. [redacted] hooked his F150 up to a rented dump trailer we had delivered the previous day and narrowly missed crashing it into a neighbors parked truck while positioning it close to the house so could throw old roofing material directly into the dump and eliminating the need to tarp the side of the house and adjacent ground. Prior to starting any work I asked Mr. [redacted] if he had his deposit down which was to be cash and switched to wanting to pay with a credit card saying " you take credit card right? " at which point I did not because I had not yet met with the rep from [redacted] to have my account activated through my Smartphone, but to accommodate him I contacted World pay to send a rep to complete the process of us accepting credit cards. Once all roofing material was removed and disposed of we proceeded to remove and replace any damaged IX per the contract agreement. During this procedure Mr. [redacted] requested that I add in leveling a 3 inch dip on the small section of roof we agreed to re-sheet; the dip was created from an interior weight baring wall being removed and allowing the center of the house to [redacted]. To level out the roof while resheeting the small section we added in additional lumber underneath the OSB which worked perfectly. However, halfway through the procedure Mr. [redacted] came to us and said his understanding was that all the existing IX would be removed and replaced when in fact the estimate clearly states the small section would be re-sheeted.re-sheet Web definitionsInstalling new decking after all layers of shingles have been tron off. After the small section of roof was re-sheeted and the large sections damaged IX replaced we installed Ice & Water shield to the eve and valley per state code. My original estimate stated were to going to use a synthetic felt originally called [redacted] but recently changed to [redacted] by Interwrap. The purpose of using [redacted] is that it comes in a small super light 10 square roll at the same cost as traditional heavy and bulky 151b felt. [redacted] was sold out of the product so I resorted back to the Traditional 15 lb felt to which Mr. [redacted] noticed and began to rant about how there must be a substantial cost difference otherwise I wouldn’t have switched and that [redacted] was a much heavier material and that he wasn’t going to except me switching to Traditional 151b felt. Here is a link for [redacted]. [redacted] Synthetic Roofing Underlayment - 15 lb roofing felt... www.interwrap.com/[redacted] 15 lb roofing felt replacement is the first synthetic underlayment competitively priced with 15 lb felt! Designed specifically for use under asphalt...After I showed Mr. [redacted] a 10 ft piece of [redacted] I had in the van he claimed he would have never accepted it because he claimed he thought it was similar to Ice & Water Shield and asked that 301b felt be installed instead to which I accommodated him and did just that. After the sections of roof were completed I notified Mr. [redacted] and said I'd be over in the morning to receive payment. When I arrived Mr. [redacted] came out and attempted to renegotiate the original agreed amount stating that the going rate is $300 a square @ 6 sq ($1800.00) and that he was willing to allow another $300.00 for the re-sheeting. When I questioned his motive he claimed the he no longer understands the estimate and wants to pay a lesser amount. I denied the lesser amount and have since filed court action against Mr. And Mrs. [redacted] as they are the property owners. Furthermore as you may Very well know that there is no such thing as a going rate and each and every contractor have their own rates hence the reason people get multiple estimates. All documentation will be forwarded with this letter.
Sincerely,

Bob M. is extremely professional and very honest. The work completed was truly superior, Bob goes above and beyond the work necessary. He inspected my roof the same day I called him, identified the problem and gave me a very reasonable estimate. The work was completed thoroughly and efficiently. Bob took care to completely clean up once the work was finished. I highly recommend Bob Melena from Superior Roofing, I would definitely use him again. He would be the only one I call if I ever have any roof issues. Thank you Bob for all your hard work, I appreciate you greatly.
Superior Roofing of Yakima, is the most honest in price, and offer top notch professional service. They stand up to the name of Superior. Do not be thrown off as their bids are much lower than other companies in this area. They do not add costs once they start the job, as most companies do that bid lower. I mean significantly lower. They are fair, and do not raise the cost according to where you live. I've experienced this type of estimate for years. Go with Superior if you want the best job done!
