NOT a good business, unless you're cattleI went in for a sprained ankle that had never healed and was continuing to give me problemsIt seemed I must've torn a ligament or tendon or something as it'd been a couple of years and I still had swelling off and on and painPre-appt: I was told to go online and fill out the medical forms, which I did When I arrived for my first appointment, they'd lost the paperwork, and I had to re-fill out all of itFirst appointment: I was seen by a PA whose theory was that I had a deformity in my ankle that didn't allow some opening to completely close which was causing the problem(whaat?) She ordered an MRIPost MRI: I waited nearly an hour for the ankle doctor (Dr***) to tell me that, yes, I had torn tendons and did I want him to fix it?
The PA then came in to set me up for surgery and said, "Oh I was right about the diagnoses! I'm always happy when I'm right." Really?? I thought it was a deformity??
Pre-op: never saw the doc
Post-op: never saw the docWhen I got home, I called the doctor's office to ask for information on the surgery (was it successful, etc?) The PA called and left a message saying I must've "forgotten" No, I didn't "forget" I asked the ponurse if I would get to speak to the surgeon at all and was told no, he'd already left for the dayI never saw or spoke to the surgeon after that initial minutes of MRI discussionWhen it came time for the cast to come off, it was sawed off, and I was sent downstairs for a 'boot' The woman in the support devices area was very rude and even though I was the only one there, acted as though I was a great inconvenience for her Nothing about the boot wearing schedule was ever covered with me I was told to just wear it until I started PT and was given a form that told me to start PT weeks laterWhen I arrived at PT exactly weeks later, the PT gal asked me if I'd started graduating out of the boot or anything and why had it taken me so long to start PT?
Whaat? I did exactly as I was told, but apparently I SHOULD have been told to start standing without the boot, and I could've started PT much soonerI never heard from anyone from No Az Ortho again except for a call six months later that I should come in for a follow-up LOL - yeah rightAny one single thing listed above wouldn't have been a big deal, but this was a whole series of just horrible patient serviceDon't go here!!! I've had several people tell me that Flagstaff Bone and Joint is very good and THAT is where I will be going for follfor my ankle!
