Review: After cancellation, Superb Movers agreed to a partial refund of a $150 deposit for moving services. Eventually, this company refused to refund as promised. The owner stated that she would issue a check as she understood the complexities associated with new construction and settlement dates etc., however, I never received the refund. After several attempts to obtain the agreed upon refund ($75.00), I finally received a response from **. [redacted]. He said his wife was having a baby and he would have to deal with me later. So, I waited 3 months and tried to contact the company. More excuses pursued and I was told that $75.00 is nothing to them and that I should have come to Virginia to get the money. I wasn't comfortable traveling to Virginia to "meet" **. [redacted] since he appeared quite irritated so I asked him to please mail the refund. Just as background, I required a refund because my settlement date changed abruptly. The settlement date was set for nearly seven days before the contracted move date. I contacted the company and asked if they could please adjust the date. They didn't have any openings but said they could store my items until the actual contracted move date. I didn't want to incur additional expenses associated with storing all of my furniture, additional move fees, and lodging expenses so I didn't know what to do. I had full intention on patronizing but they couldn't accommodate within the time period required. I understood that deposits are often nonrefundable but Superb Movers agreed to refund half. The last phone call occurred about 4 weeks ago as I initiated contact with [redacted]. [redacted]. [redacted] kept a negative tone suggesting that I should have come to get the money. I asked if she would mail the check and she basically dismissed me and ended the call. I called back and explained on voice mail that I would report the company. I am not comfortable corresponding with the owners of this company because they've been irate and unprofessional.Desired Settlement: At this point, I would like this company to would honor its promise and refund the $75.00 and forward the check via US mail.
