Super Kicks Karate

Review: Upon signing contract in May 2013 for 7 year old son to take karate we discussed with Mr. [redacted] that I had concerns about my mothers health (she just had a stroke) and was afraid to sign up because something might happen. He agreed to let us sign up for 2 years with the understanding that if something did occur that we could be reimbursed if we had to stop. My grandfather died in August (my mothers father) and we had to travel to Arkansas, then my mothers husband left her which has required me to live with my mother to care for her. She cannot be left alone at all, therefore we had to discontinue traveling 28 miles to take karate classes. I have been trying since November 30, 2013 to get reimbursement for this. He has told me it was sent in the mail and gotten lost, then he has sent me 3 post dated checks (one for May $500, June $500, and July $1000). The first check was returned for insufficient funds and my bank charged me $12.00 for this. He has not responded to my recent emails regarding the returned check except to say that he will take care of any bank fees against my account. I do have copies of all emails we have exchanged since November.Desired Settlement: I would expect the total of $2000 (that was given in the predated checks) for reimbursement of karate school and $12.00 for charge against my bank account for the bad check.
