We used booking.com to plan a vacation to the Sunswept resort in PCBIn short, Sunswept charges a $hidden fee that most do no discover until it's too late & are already at the resort, I happened to see it in a review, but of course that was after I bookedMy husband & I were at work & had to spend most of the day going back & forth between the resort & booking to get the problem resolved, & what's worse is Booking knew of the fee because the person I spoke with first on the phone said he had the same problem with this resort the week before & Here it is an entire week later & the $that was debited from my account still has not been refunded when they said it would be 2-daysMy husband called today & "apparently" booking did not cancel it on their end, & it will be another 7-days for our money to be returnedThis is beyond unacceptable & I plan on copying this & doing a review at every consumer site I can findThe Sunswept resort was not forthcoming with this information, & it took several calls to get to someone to inquire about the feeI was transferred several times to a line that rang off the hook but no one would answer, then when I did reach someone they would transfer me againFinally I was provided a direct line to Royal American & the lady was reluctant to tell me about the fees, I still have no clue what they were for (because booking listed the service & cleaning fees) & the lady was very rudeIts horribly dishonest that they wait for you to get there on your vacation then surprise you with that astronomical fee & because they do not accept cancellations the day of they will not refund your money (even though they do not disclose this fee) you either have to pay it or go back home
