Be warned, Sunshine Experts only replaces existing skylightsThey do not install skylights in new locationsThis will not stop them, however, from taking your time for estimatesApparently neither their front desk nor their estimators are aware of this limitation
I scheduled an appointment to get an estimateThe estimator arrived hours late saying there had been a "scheduling mix-up." He looked at my ceiling, said that they could re-structure the roof and install a 2xfoot skylightI also asked about electrical because my stud finder had indicated electricity in at least part of the ceilingHe suggested I contact an electrician to take care of moving the electric linesHe said they would e-mail an estimate for the re-structuring, drywall, etclater in the day
The next day when the estimate had not arrived, I calledThe front desk said that the estimate would take more time because there were problems with my ductworkI said they must have confused me with a different customer because there were no ducts anywhere near the proposed installation locationA few minutes later the owner called me and said that they do not install skylights in new locations, only replacements
If they do not do new installations, why were they making excuses about ducts delaying the estimate? Why did the estimator talk to me about re-structuring and hiring an electrician? Why did they book an appointment for an estimate for a new skylight? Why is the owner the only person aware of the services they provide?
Something does not add up at Sunshine Experts

Techs handled any problems with install very well, very happy with everything
